It only takes a minute to burn after it's an iso image. Try Imgburn or Dvd Santa's Demo Version for free burners.

Quote: ImgBurn supports a wide range of image file formats - including BIN, CUE, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI.
It can burn Audio CD's from any file type supported via DirectShow / ACM - including AAC, APE, FLAC, M4A, MP3, MP4, MPC, OGG, PCM, WAV, WMA and WV.
You can use it to build DVD Video discs (from a VIDEO_TS folder), HD DVD Video discs (from a HVDVD_TS folder) and Blu-ray Video discs (from a BDAV / BDMV folder) with ease.
It supports Unicode folder/file names, so you shouldn't run in to any problems if you're using an international character set.
ImgBurn supports all the Windows OS's - Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and 2008 (including all the 64-bit versions). If you use Wine, it should also run on Linux and other x86-based Unixes.
It's a very flexible application with several advanced features that are often lacking in other tools, especially when it comes to burning DVD Video discs. It supports all the latest drives without the need for updates (including booktype / bitsetting / advanced settings on many of the major ones - i.e. BenQ, LiteOn, LG, NEC, Plextor, Samsung, Sony).
There is an image queue system for when you're burning several images (which you can automatically share between multiple drives if you have more than one) and an easy-to-use layer break selection screen for double layer DVD Video jobs. The Automatic Write Speed feature allows you store your favourite burn speed settings on a per 'Media ID' basis, right down to a drive by drive level. Data captured during the burn (write speed, buffer levels etc) can be displayed / analysed using DVDInfoPro.
Whilst ImgBurn is designed to work perfectly straight out of the box, advanced users will appreciate just how configurable it is.
Oh and let's not forget the best thing about it.... it's 100% FREE ;-)

Sorry but I still can't burn a DVD with DVDSHRINK using IMGBURN. I've got all the stuff you guys talked about, I've done all the recommandation, but I still only have the option to IMAGE an ISO with IMGBURN from DVDSHRINK. It's the right version since I got it from here and I cheked it after.

I thought it was pretty clear, I dowloaded the DVDSHRINK version from here, I've installed it as instructed in the memo.
When I went to copy/burn a DVD I own, it gives me only the option to burn an ISO image with IMGBURN, it doesn't give me the option to burn the DVD as a ready to be use DVD that I can just put in a home theatre DVD player. I don't want to burn an ISO image, I want a ready to go dvd like I use to do with DVDSHRINK and NERO previous version to 8. Maybe I should just go back to using NERO 6, but that sounds kind of stupid to downgrade technology.
In brief, IMGBURN doesn't work with DVDSHRINK if you want to do a ready to get viewed DVD on a home theatre.

JSaumur, let me help clarify things
1) Imgburn burns iso (image file ) best
2) an iso file is only a container for your video files
3) Once Imgburn burns resultant iso/image files to a dvd, then the resultant dvd is playable on a stand alone dvd player as in a HT system. The burned dvd contains video files just as a commercially manufactured dvd. Imgburn makes a playable dvd that you want (to watch on a dvd player) The burned dvd is not just a bunch of iso files.
Hope this helps

Excuse me, I was repeating much of iluvendo's info. It completes what I was saying to JSaumur on another thread; programs that burn ISO video don't create the ISO on the burned DVD. When using programs like Shrink to create the ISO for autoburning with one of the supported burners, the ISO needs to be removed manually, whereas DVDCopy and Nero use a temp file that is erased automatically. (At least I think DVDCopy works the same as Nero. It's been a while since I've had DVDCopy loaded on a PC with Shrink. If I'm wrong feel free to correct me.)

I am completely new to all of this so please bear with me. I just bought a Toshiba laptop with Vista and cannot burn DVD's like I did with XP. If I understand all of this - I need to download DvdFab HD Decrypter then DVD Shrink 3.2 then ImageBurn. Is this correct?

I downloaded everything and followed the steps according to the instructions. When I got to the DVD shrink part where you select ISO with imageburn that was not an option. It gave me an ISO file. Is this the same thing?

Does this setup require two optical drives or will it prompt you (for a laptop) to replace the dvd you're trying to copy with a blank dvd?

It's not necessary to have two optical drives. You remove the commercial copy out when it's done ripping the files to your HDD then insert the blank when ready to burn.
