James... let's start again. :) What have you done lately that would cause an issue?? Any software updates other than IMGBURN? Any hardware additions? How old is your ODD (Plextor drive)? What methods are you using again?? You're ripping to HDD with what program? Then you're using which program to "shrink" your image to 4.7GB?
Sorry I'm prolly asking all the questions you've answered before but I wanna get this solved this time for sure... DeadRum questioned the finality of the solution... well it's NOT solved and we're either gonna solve it or blow up your computer!!! hehehehee. :p

It truly sounds as tho the "file" you have for this movie is corrupted or wonky in some way. :(
How did you "rip" it to the HDD? Which progie that is. ;)

James it just seems that everything "revolves" around that rip. Make sure you have a GOOD rip and then try your thing on it. What method are you using to "rip" to your HDD? AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 are great in tandem but NOT sure what you like to use. ;) OF course DVDFabDecrypter is a good ripper and then doing your DVDShrink and IMGBURN thing is ok too. ;)

Free is good and I'm not going back 5 pages to check if this was mentioned, but DVD Shrink is old as far as ripping is concerned, it doesn't work with most newer movies and their encryptions from the last 3-4 years by itself. Many people use it in conjunction with AnyDVD because AnyDVd strips protection and allows Shrink to work properly.
A free ripper would be DVDFAbDecrypter. Use it as step1, open shrink for step2 thenIMG burn should pop up itself for step3
