its about 65.00 US dollars there is no coupon code at the moment, yes the program is worth the money the freeware option would be to use dvdfab decrypter, dvd shrink isn't updated anymore , hasn't beeen in 3 years or more so if you countine to use dvd shrink you will need dvdfab decrypter(freeware) or anydvd(payware)anydvd does have a 14 day free trial though. all your options/info/guides are here

the anydvd option is HD if you aren't backing up blu-ray disc you don't need it, yeah anydvd by its self is going to be around 100.00 US dollars without a coupon code i would use the free trial till there is a coupon code or use the freeware option in my links above dvdfab decrypter

BTW can you get me Adriana Lima's autograph lol!

Mr ZosoIV,

Thank you for the honest answer. It seems very few places can one get honesty nowadays :)

Does Anydvd go on sale (you mentioned a coupon, and how do I get one) ?

But for the mean time, I'll do as you suggested and use their free trial.

Thanks again :)

*hugs*

Jo

BTW, I'm not in Adrianna's league, so I can't help you with her autograph, sorry :(

*hugs and kisses*

bryston, actually there should be one coming up for Halloween,it will be at there website so check there often or i will let you know when the coupon code is on, also if you can swing it getting clonedvd along with anydvd would be great, I'm sure you would be very happy using the combo together.

and a guide to use the programs together

Come on people, let's tone it down please, let's not forget that half the known world searching (for instance) for Tinker Bell will end up in this thread and most of them will just want to know how to rip the disc. You can all carry on the gushing in the Shoutboxes maybe...

It has a 21 day free trial period, so you can download it, then use it for 21 days free of charge before you decide if it is worth the money for you. Keep looking for their infamous specials which run from time to time which can save you some hard earned Euros..
www.slysoft.com
Or you can search the guides for the free alternatives.

Okay, when I posted this, I didn't see any further remarks, but when I hit the post button ZoSo's exchange came up, interesting and spooky at the same time eh?

Personally, I don't think anyone should buy AnyDVD as long as DVDFab Decrypter and RipIt4Me are available for free. Learn to use the freebies well. You'll find they do as good a job as the retail programs. Then if you want to buy some of the retail programs, you'll be able to make a more informed decision for yourself instead of listening to others. You'll find a broad variety of opinions. Seems everyone has one. LOL Some of the retail items are a bit faster and some a little easier to use. You need to weigh the benefits against the cost of purchase. Except for a very small number of movies, RipIt4Me is a good, seamless setup for backing up movies. For the ones it can't handle, DVDFab Decrypter does the decryption (key to a good backup).

If you are entertaining the thought of purchasing one of our products then now is the right time to act! so there you go. if you want to buy anydvd and or clonedvd. its not that much more getting both together at the bundle price and believe me you will be glad you got clonedvd along with anydvd if you do get it

Ask yourself if it's worth $71 (USD) for the AnyDVD (without HD) and CloneDVD when you can do the same jobs for free? That's with the bundle discount. Granted the AnyDVD may be a tad easier than some methods. However, it can't be easier than RipIt4Me when RI4M is set up properly. As I mentioned before, DVDFab Decrypter still gets updated for the rare copy protections that RI4M can't process. Also, DVDFab Platinum (the complete retail version)is an all in one program that does as good or better than the Slysoft combo and costs about $20 less. Slysoft has pretty much priced itself off the market. As for myself, I really do use the RI4M more than AnyDVD. I rarely use AnyDVD anymore. I own most of the backup programs, so I speak from experience with their use.

I Don't like ANYDVD, Cause I Can't SEE what it Does, I Need somthing I can Watch, and Know If It's Working or Not. I really Like Ri4e. and use it the most. It handles almost every movie I try To Back-up. For The Rest I Use DVDFAB Plat (That's the One I suggest people Buy) I'm Noy Saying AnyDVD Isn't any good it's Just Not For Me. Many People Swear By It. And It Is Really A Matter Of Choice.

Also DVDFAB upgraded today.

@ ZoSoIV

No, I've Never Seen That Setting, Because It's Been Ages Since I Even Thought of Using AnyDVD (2006)

I Guess it Was Unfair of me to Say I Didn't Like It. What I should Have Said I Don't Use It.

But You Have to Admit That The Purple Progress Bar At The Bottom Of DvdFab Is Pretty.

Going to have to agree with Zo on this one.

Take advantage of the free trial periods and see which one suits you better.

I agree with z4, but for another reason. Try out the trials and see how the programs work for you. Then consider if they're worth the cash to buy them when you can do the same job for free with RipIt4Me (includes Shrink which does the transcoding) and occasionally DVDFab Decrypter.

I think the original question as been lost somehow, but I'm reffering back to the Tinkerbell problem. I've managed to copy it to DVD and I've done both just the movie and also the entire DVD. It's not the first time I'm having the following problem, I can play it fine on my computer, but when it gets to play it on my Home studio with DVD player/recorder, it plays 3 chapters and then stop sudenly. Anybody got a clue on the problem with this? And it wont play at all on any other DVD player in the house.
