thanks for all the sites they are really helpful
the post I was looking for had about 6 steps clearly written for someone like me who is not real good at this. It told step by step what to do. It may be outdated now --Thanks for all the help-- especially helpful is when you add the graphics of what I see-- thank you

Ok This is the wrong thread to talk about Dvdfab and decrypting but I can't find one. I tried to back-up journey to the center of earth. I like to back-up a movie before kids get hold of it, they think you can't destory a disk. So where do i go?

I tried to back-up "Journey to the center of the earth", but half way the encoding ( full disk or movie ) and error says it needs to restart dvdfab decrypter. After an hour it is complete. Open dvdshrink but shrink says an error has accrued and can not continue. Checked for an update non, just for beta. Has anyone else had this problem?

I backed this one up a while ago with latest Anydvd and ripit4me.
You sound as if you have a bad pressing. exchange and retry.

Thanks, J, I appreciate it. I will let you know how it turns out.
J, Things got a little funky. First I used Ripit4Me in conjunction with DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. It didn't appear to produce a playable DVD, got a coaster the 1st time, so tried DVD Fab HD Decrypter. That didn't seem to work either, coaster #2. Then I tried Ripit4ForMe again and presto! I'd heard that Ripit4Me might not work the first few times, has to "break in", but I've since had perfect success with HSMusical 1 & 2 and Meet the Robinsons. It even tells you the % of shrinkage needed for Shrink to burn to single disk. So far so good, great results, until Disney does something else.

I finally Backed up Journey to the center of earth by using dvdfab movie only took an hour. I havn't had any luck with ripit4me for awhile. I just quit using it.

My success rate with RI4M is well over 90%. Since I rarely encounter a problem, I still use it. Besides Disney, it works on Lionsgate releases as well (which can be just as difficult as Disney).
