Brucedlx. I followed your tutorial and so far so good. the MDPro arrive in 10 days, burned two title so far (Naruto council of Ninja and Super Mario Sunshine), they both work great. just thinking to write you a word of "Thanks". this is a great tutorial.

if anyone interested, I am using Prodisc mini DVD-R & Nero 6. burn at 4X speed.

One tip to share: if anyone follow step 7 to drag GcoS 1.5(PSO).dol into the cube window of the MDPro program, but nothing happen. check if you connect the MD memory card through a USB hub, if yes, try connect it directly to the USB port of the PC instead. :-)

One piece of advice I will say to anyone who cant get a single game to work is to make sure your isos are full size. I believe the size is like 1.4 billion bytes and some change. If they are even the slightest bit smaller then that they wont work. To use the wiped gc iso fixer all you must do is include the name of your gcm file (rename the iso to gcm if you have to) and use the f switch to make a full size iso. Example of command: fstfix mario.gcm f. (no period) I find that this always seams to work for small files.

Hi mate, how come the product shown on the link (codejunkies) is different from the pics u have shown in your tutorial (in your pic u have 2 purple discs and action replay max card.)
where as on codejunkies link it has only a dev3 disc which doesnt say action replay PRO..)
also on codejunkies it says "The system consists of 3 components ? the MAX Drive Pro cartridge, USB cable and the Loader Disc."
Please verify that the package sold ihas everything needed please.
Thanks.

Hi guys, not sure if this the best place to be posting this question but I gotta ask for some help. After reading thru this thread I got interested in the max drive pro, so I decided to order it on codejunkies us site. Everything went well and my order got placed, my credit card got charged and a few hours later they send me an email saying that my order was rejected and to place another order coz my security code is wrong?!

I got surprised by this because they already took the money out of my card (which obviously meant it was not wrong) and to tell me to place another order... means I'm gonna pay double for something I don't want to >_<

I emailed them back almost straight away and it's already been a day without a response... I really hope I have not just lost a lot of money... I paid around 93aud which is ~70usd...

what do you think I should do about this guys?

Many times when a credit card transaction fails the card company will put a hold on the funds until it works its way out which may take a couple of days. I hope its not something else.

lovecars:

I personally have not used DVDDecrypter but I know that IMGBURN works fine for me. It was created by the same person and you can get it free here at AD. Hope this helped you some.

hello
i changed the pot of my gamecube to 188. all the games work. i was reading in the forums and it said that you have to check the pot monthly that way the laser does not break down as easily. is that true. does the pot settings automatically change.

Eariler it was mentioned that no one has tried mini DVD-RW but as a general rule most game machines dont like to read rewritable discs. If you even wanted to cube to read the rw's you would probably have to pot tweak (open the console and mess with the laser). You are best to stick with mini DVD-R.

I have tried Maxell DVD-RW mini DVDs and they do not work. They always get a read error. I have also tried Maxell DVD-R's and I had a 40% success rate. One of the discs I burned failed after I wrote the title on it with a Sharpie. Another disc gave me a read error at a certain point. This is a repeatable error and always occurs at the same point. At this point, two of the discs I have burned are still working.

I am using a generic burner that I purchased from Staples a couple of Black Fridays ago.

I have adjusted the pot on my GC to 186 Ohms. I used a melted pen to remove the screws from the bottom of the case.

i was thinking about getting a max drive pro before but now it seems like its worth it. does anyone know if it works with the new games and do they all work? i've read some threads where people cant get it to work is it just because of the burner/dvds there using?

it works with all games, it just depends on your POT setting. that has been posted in this tut a lot of times, there is a link posted in here on how to fix that setting on your gamecube, please read the entire tutorial before you ask questions. i have said the same thing over and over.

From what I have seen by reading this forum and from my own personal experience, some gamecubes (like mine) will read the games with no problem off of the mini DVD-R while others need the laser "pot" setting fixed to make them work. As far as new games go I have burned some games from this year and they have booted without problem. Of course I always recommend using Ridata G04 mini DVD-R discs because they seam to work the best.

tru. btw, I've had some intermittent errors that have become more regular recently. About 5 out of 10 times when I turn on my Gamecube with the Max Drive Pro card in memory slot A and the Max Drive Pro disc in my Gamecube, I receive a message like "Hardware read error. Please reinsert the max drive pro card". I have even received an all blank white screen twice and twice received a "red screen of death" which I can only equate to the blue screen of death that you might get in a Windows operating system, a red background with a bunch of hex numbers strewn across the screen. Even when it seemingly works I have games that hang on an "accessing saved games. Please do not touch the memory card or power button" screen. The game freezes and I need to reboot my gamecube. To rule out the possibility of a corrupt game save, I transferred the saved game to another memory card I have (moved the GCOS 1.5 dol to anther memory card as well). I had no issues with any games using another one of my memory cards. I've sent a message to codejunkies support but I have not received a response yet. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?
I just got my Max Drive Pro, and I have the same problem. About every second time I get "Hardware error problem." and nothing helps than turning the gamecube off and starting it again. No screens of death so far. Also when loading or saving games from the card it usually takes longer than with a normal memory card. Is there any help to this problem? It took 7 weeks for datel to send me the max drive pro (after sending them a lots of email), and I really don't feel like talking to them again. I wish there is a way how to fix it. Anybody has any suggestions?

Move the .dol to an officially licensed memory card, gets rid of the errors completely.
