I now have cfw 3.80 m33 on my psp. I put an iso in the iso folder, click on the game and then it gives me an error that the game cannot be started.

yes. but be sure to follow the guide from start to finish. you WILL NOT run any programs on the psp, because official firmware cannot run them.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

i was aware of needing custom firmware to play these games
ive already read the instructions a few times and downloaded the required data ready for when i buy my psp [and my official 2 GIG memory stick]

il be getting a dattel tool battery too, this seems to be the best way of getting a pandora battery. I saw they do a slim psp battery as well as a fat one, i take it that the slim psp battery will have the same affect the fat one had on my new psp?

thanks for the quick reply btw, somebody's on there toes ;]
ahaha

if i was to get a TOOL battery, i'd get the fat one; the slim one is slim only, but the fat works on both. so you can work on other psp's.

but i don't have that problem, as i have an original pandora's battery.

The best method is the service battery tool, which switches any battery back and forth between tool and normal.

both work then, and im gonna buy a slim psp
but i guess having the option to use it on a fat psp is always a plus :)

I just bought a piano black PSP slim. The PSP came installed with the 3.72 Official firmware. Can I use the memory stick program and datel battery to brick then install 3.71 M33?

if you have xp, follow the tutorial to format the memory card-make sure you format it in windows to fat32. Once you have done that and you have the datel tool battery, you are good to go-just stick the memory card in and then the tool battery. Hold L trigger while putting in the battery for the slim. Press x, wait about 3 minutes then press x again.

Ok so I can't just do it in Vista? It has to be in XP? So do I format using the program on page 1 or do I format it through windows?

I tried and tried with vista and could not get it to work. I went to a friends, hooked the psp up to the pc using usb connection with the blank memory card-formatted to fat32 using windows. Then, VERY IMPORTANT, ran the installer by right clicking on it and selecting run as administrator. When it was done I put in the add ons as listed in the tutorial and turned off the system. I put in the memory stick and then the tool battery. Voila. Once it went through the install and said it was successful, i started the psp and wen tot the memory stick and clicked on the mux icon. This let me pick which update to use. I installed 3.80 m33. After that you are good to go. if you want to play games off of the memory stick make sure you go into recovery mode (hold r -trigger and power button for a few seconds) and then on the umd driver mode select m33 driver.

AAGH I REALLY NEED HELP!!!

So yeah, i downloaded the files from the three seperate links, and extracteed them all. but when I went to the START.exe, it would not let me open it. instead, it gave me a message that said I "may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." then i tried to download the entire thing from the mirror, and i got the same problem...

what should I do? is there a specific program i need to run START.exe? next to the name it just displays a white box, instead of the regular thumbnail. I also tried to open the program thru Start>Run>Filepath, but that did not work either

are you sure you extracted it right?

open #1 and drag it to your desktop. The others will be automatically extracted.

Another question that has been covered in previous post. Learn to search new members. This error has nothing to do with the download not working. It is due to your PC blocking the program from running. Make sure you are on a administrator account (Vista and XP 64BIT can have issues running the program as well).

Just to add onto what Larry said. AVG is blocking the program. So if you use AVG remember to disable it.

yes, I have AVG. how do i disable it? Actually i thought that this might have been the problem, so I opened up AVG, but I could not find the option to let the program pass.

Open control center. Then go to file and exit. It should say something like shut down and no longer will monitor computer. Click ok then its off :)

3.90 M33 = First hacked firmware of 3.90 OFW
3.90 M33-2 = Fixed the bugs and problems in 3.90 M33

There can be more of them depending if dark-alex thinks there is a problem with it.

The -*number* stands for *number* revision.

I went to AVG control center, and disabled it b going to file>exit, and this did not work. I recieved the same message saying that I do nothave the right permissions to acces the file. Then i right clicked on the AVG icon in the bottom right, and closed the program that way: same ending, it wont let me open the program.

I extracted the files correctly
I am on an admin account on Windows XP Home edition
