Microsoft may be doing this for the bands but from what I see they are trying to compete with Nintendo Wii. I'll give u a run down and if you don't want one then don't read doing this as a courtesy.
They have netFlix which allow syou to stream movies instantely with gold memberships.
Get early Assess to Demos, create a party of friends where everyone can chat and play games together, you can now save games to your harddrive, Extend ur membership 1 month at a time, download add-ons.

AMen to that, too many of these rediculous posts.
I give up, were going to be banned even though I have never been banned EVER--ER , heck IM banning myself from posting on this thread n e more. Have fun, stop asking and dont scare, just face the reality you have a bigger chance getting banned 1st off xbox live then getting an std 2nd, but dont count on NOT getting both! Well guys it seems as if no one has truly got big balls...Everyone is just begging to know if will you get banned if you play a backup on live as of the new update. Well im here to use my big balls and test it for you...I have a Tosh Sammy with iXtreme 1.4-12x...here goes my back up of gears 2....Well it was a success and i tried Left 4 Dead backup and all is going well(know on wood)...So both of my games let me play on live....As of now i would agree with the flagging system...The more flag will result in a ban...but as stated before we dont know how M$ works..So when playing a backup on live there is always a possibility you may be banned simply because there can never be a perfect backup.
So keep in mind you may or may not be banned for playing a backup on live.

I guess I have big balls then :) haha! I've been on xbox live for about a total of 1-2 hours today. So far so good. I think it's safe to go. I promised myself when the NXE comes out I would go on live, and I did :) You people scared in the closet should come out and update ;)

I have a Hitachi 1.4 and NXE
Went on live today with Fallout and GH4 backups, still not banned
Hope is stays this way

this happens every time something big happens, and everyone asks the same questions over and over anyway. So why not just make a FAQ thread instead of a thread with questions asked frequently?

I am now subscribed to exactly 29987 threads here, there's no excuse in someone not being able to read thru a measly 24 pages for free answers.

I just downloaded the update and i was thinking, if you copy the game without live and start the game without live then connect after its verified the disc would it reduce changes. I mean it wont ever be reading the disc when on live and there will be no power going to the drive when on live so it might deduct the ability to detect ixtream, just a thought, dont take this seriously, i would recommend it though because it cant hurt, the less on live the better anyways.
Ps. Has anyone tried to copy a burned game on a non-flashed xbox, im unfamiliar but for some chance could it maybe still read the information off the burned disc to copy it or do native xboxes just lack the ability to read burned disc as a whole
Just thought i would share.

even with the FAQ you still get a million 'how do i burn a 360 game?', 'what do i need to mod my console'... blah blah blah.
if every question was answered over and over again this thread would be twice as long which would make it even harder to read through.

my question is if the game disc is bad (not stealthed properly), will it download to the hard drive like that or will it look just like a original game on the hard drive.

Yeah, the thread is getting a bit big, but seriously, if somebody has a question at least read like the last two pages, usually been repeated in there.
As for me, finally got to try the update out - on a flashed sammy with 1.4, works perfectly with the update... the new interface is absolutely awesome, the wiimii ripoff stuff is really cool too, much better than wii's version... I haven't tried copying to disk yet because I've been having fun with party chat and stuff. If this xbox got banned now, I would probably happily get a replacement because live just got even more awesome! :)

that was a question because what happens when you save a backup to the 360 hdd..will it be more stealth since the dvd drive is not in use?
