This is overall a hard to choose thing. No matter what people say it's the preference that is going to determine witch console is better...POST COMMENTS!!

Okay.... there are lots of these kind of threads here. The final word that every one agrees on is that if you like puzzle games, platformers and RPGs then the PS3 is the way to go. If you like First and Third person shooters then XBox 360. Simple as that. No need to make a whole new thread when it basically comes down to the same thing.

both systems are equal but if the x360 comes out with great rpgs more than what ms has announced i give a lead to the x360.
besides in japan it seems obvious that theyre not as concerned with the graphics as us amaricans i mean the ps2 sold the most because of games. but the x360 is easier to make games for than the ps3 which could give x360 more 3rd party support. i give a slight to the x360 oh yea a couple more things oblivion, lostodysee, blue dragon, enchantarm, and most of all HALO3 BABY WHEEEEEWWWWW!!!!

Give it two years and everyone will see how good the graphics are on the PS3 compared to the 360. What they will see is no difference or just the slightest of difference's that no one cares. Then there is the online gaming which is going to be really popular this generation which the 360 will excell in.
Has anyone held the 360 controler?

Uhhh there are lots of threads like this. Look around there's XBox 360 vs. PS3, PS3 vs. XBox 360 vs. Nintendo Revolution, etc, etc. And the idea is that by having anopinion you have a preference whereby the posters say which one they prefer and why. So basically it's the same. And it'll all be pointless since the PS3 is not out yet to compare so why bother making more of these kinds of threads.

Yeah, we all dont live in America. I know Ameriacan's seem to think the world revolves around them. Unfortunatly I cant get my 360 until March 2nd because I live in Australia (not America) so I was just going to ask for peoples opinion's on the controler.
Wait just noticed you come from Australia. Anyway I still stand by the American thing. So any opinions on the controler for those of you that have used it?

LOL I totally understood what you meant when you asked about the controller. I have not held the controller myself but i will probably give it a try the next time i visit walmart just to see how well the controller feels in your hands. They have a xbox 360 on display you can play there. As to the ps3 vs. xbox thing. I would probably wait to buy a system right now to see if the 360 gets more of the major titles on the consoles. That is the biggest thing that held them back in the past. Sony has had the game selection in the past. Some people think that they will have the game selection advantage again as do i but we will have to wait and see. Ultimately the deciding factor will be the games and not the power or the release date of the system. So show me the games!!!!

I have, and it feels quite good. I really liked it. My brother on the other hand, didn't. He said he found the white plastic got dirty too easily and he's right. But it still feels great.

I like how the black and white buttons are moved back by the triggers now.

The 360 controler is really well made in terms of design and quality. I even thought they were going to budget on the 360 navigational button with a cheap silver spray paint job and a black painted x. However it is chrome plated and the x is green translusent plastic with the green light shining through.
The new positioning of the black and white buttons are good too.
I think the PS3 controler is good to and I cant wait to hold it, just hope they change the analoge joysticks and have some kind of indication as to what controler is what when they show the final design in January.

presonally, i dislike the 360 controller. it does not fit right. the back and start buttons are now in the middle, and it is such a clone of ps controllers now. another bad thing is i have to stress my index fingers up a bit to pull the triggers and after awile it starts to ache. they could really revamp it.

You might not like the controler but there is no way you can say its like the PS controler unless you are blind dumb and have no sense of touch.

im not talking to much about feel, because i like the feel cept for the triggers. the looks and placements of buttons minus the g4y misplacement of the analog sticks.

Yeah gotta say the quality of the 360 controler is superb, if you hold a normal controler tightly and rotate your hands you can hear the plastic creak. With a 360 controler when I did this there was no creaking whatsoever. I can also say it is definitly not like a ps2 controler because of its analogue stick and diamond shaped buttons. If this were the case would an n64 controler be the same as a ps2 controler aswell?

you guys over analize, geez. i know what i know, i think whati i think. my friends agree, some dont. i was staing an opinion.
i think the button placement is similar to the ps2. and i was saying, the asymmetrical analog sticks annoy me because i like symmetry.

the only FATAL mistake with the x360 controller is the back bumpers are a little to close to those black and white buttons.
another thing is wow the madcats controller looks awesome i tested it and its great because the back bumpers are a little bigger and a little farther back
rating:
1st party controller 8.5
madcats 10

Just saw the Mad Catz controler and it looks good but I think the official one looks better. However the black and white buttons can be a little uncomfortable for the index fingers to get too but as they are not primary buttons and used for stuff like changing weapons or the light in Halo I dont see them as a problem.
Also i couldnt find the wireless version of the Mad Catz controler does one exsist?

I like where they moved the black and white buttons to, they have good fell and i can hit them with ease, just thought i'd put my 2 cents in, and Zelda64-I haven't seen the mad kats wireless controller yet, i'll stick with MS ones though.
