the point is i dony wanna pay 70 bucks for somthing everyone but mmorpg's give out for free cuz ms knows u will pay.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Obviously not a XboxLive subsciber, I paid $50 for a year, do the math, thats only a litle over 4 bucks a month. Oh, and I forgot, dedicated servers, dedicated support staff and TONS of downloads aren't supposed to cost more than hosting games on your ps2. What was M$ thinking? Jeez.

well i really like xbox live except sometimes the games do not use the full potential like cod 2 where as halo 2 for me is the best online game, but now i have read what you can do in dead or alsive i am even more excited about live.

I pay $50 a year for XBL, and evey tim eI try to play COD2 the server is full. You can shove XBL fanboys because it's not all it's cracked up to be.
Fanboy is a term used to describe someone who is utterly devoted to a single subject. This generally is followed by the devotion and support even when proved wrong.
Anecdotal, by my definition, it's the way too many people here think. It's also all the evidence you have.

And jsut to let everyone know that xbox probaly would not even had online if it wasn't for Sony. Because sony was the first to have online and live didn't come till 6 months or a year or 2 later. So do yall have anything to say now.

Actually neither would of been online if it wasnt for the DREAMCAST.
I never play a consol online, i perfer CPU games online. TMost are even free!

little fer do you even have both of them do you have for example madden 06 for ps2 and xbox? Do/have you played both of them online probaly not. What do you know. If you knew anything you would say that PS3 is so much better. besides ps2 already has the capablility to have the online camera.

Dreamcast had online built in.
IT was for online gameing.
Im pretty sure(well last time I checked) It had online games.)
Actually, i predict if the dreamcast was still selling, it would of sold more than the ps2. For those of you who dont know. DREAmcast was sold out WORLDWIDE in the first 24 hours. AND there Wasnt a ShOrTaGe.
And dude, If you did some research on the ps2. Ps2 did'nt come with online gaming when first released. They made the onlin epack in 2001 or 2002. Then you were able to play online. Xbox had online before ps2. Somthing you should concider.

KooKoo67 is right xbox came ready to go Ps2 had to have xtra add ons and even then there is no comparison.Dreamcast was the first because I was 1 of a few who tried it.It sucked, but it was still the first.

PS2 also cam eout in 1999, did the average PC have built in ethernet then? No, modems people. At least Sony had an expansion slot ready.

It did'nt come ready. I remember you h ad to buy 60(canadian)$ for the online pack. It came out in 2001. You had to buy xbox live for xbox though.
And yes, average PC's came with built in internet. Not dialup. I remember i had a 1997 MDG computer. (p2)
Ps2 wasnt even more powerfull than computers that time. xbox was equivalent. (To PC's)

I dont know alot about this but what is the difference betwwen XBL and the online play for the PS2. How is XBL better? Doesnt it depend on what games u play? Like is there a difference lets say if u play madden 06 on XBL or on PS2?

Yes it is sad that you don't know why because you don't do your research reasons. I don't know what you mean by bending over backwards, if you mean paying 4 bucks a month bending over backwards then you must be a poor, poor man. Dramcast DID have online games 2pac, phantasy star online being the one I remember but I wouldn't say that if it werent for dreamcast playstation or any other console that there would be no internet on any of their consoles. Of course they would have internet now regardless of whether it had been done before or not, its big buisness, look at blizzard they made (and still making) a BIG profit from WOW.

i dont know why people moan about paying for xbox live, you all pay for internet connection anyway to surf the net an broadband is £14-£35 per month xbox live is £3.33 a month bargain.

Oh that is except blue ray, we all admit it will be better, but this isn't good enuf for the fan boys. they try to emphasise the made up fact that blue ray will be a must have and without it 360 is DOOMED! They've ran out of idea's now with the blue ray argument and now go on with xbox live is crap and a con, shelling out 1 buck a week, well thats just plain OUTRAGEOUSLY greedy of microsoft! How dare they! When if they actualy put away their handbags for 5 minutes and looked at both consoles without bias then maybe, just maybe they would see what 360 has to offer.

alright, look. so about everyone can afford the $5.80 a month. think about this tho.. all of us buying xb l and sending microsoft that money, do you really wanna do that? it makes them rich for almost nothing. i dont want my money to go to such an unethical company. i did not but the windows xp i am using, i did not buy halo, i did not buy AoE, i did not buy flight simulator, tho i possess all of those. its called sticking it to the man.

You think pun and use of bold type makes you right? I ment bend over for microsoft, not backwards. No it's not alot of money. But all the little fans ust buy iinto everything they want, the HD-DVD drive, $20 face plates (Pennies to manufacture), and those little points to buy PICTURES. 200x200 pictures for $1. A 20GB Samsung 5400RPM laptop HDD put into a big ass piece of plastic for $100?? I can get a 80GB one for less. In the premium package it's a sweet deal, but anything you buy after that rapes you.
All the fanboys just bend over like they did for their priest. YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN, or are you six and didn't get my joke in my last post?
At least PS3 will run a level 0 OS and allow Linux installations to a laptop hard drive bay, and run as a ocmplete UNIX computer. Xbox 360 is too locked up, more DRMed up than PS3 will be. You can't even browse the web with Xbox 360, I can do that on my damn PSP. You cn't get RSS feeds, you can't buy music. The network scanner doesn't omit duplicate song files. I could write a novel on the 360 and how rushed it was to market and how every feature is half baked.

So theoretically, I can do more than a ps3 with my original xbox with a modchip in it? What is the point of a ps3 then? Oh right, games. Cause playstation games are the only games worth playing.
I thought someone would have brought up by now the fact that sony dropped router support for the ps3. Seems our fanboys haven't read up to date yet.

Dont buy a xbox 360. My brother got one just before christmas and it playes liked crap.
My friend (whos a die hard Xbox fanboy) begged me to play on HD, so i did and picked up a copy of doa. A little better but still crap. Unfair assessment since i dont really like fighting games, but i havent liked any games ive played so far.
Oh btw save your money ps3 will be better. All the reason why i got the original xbox now slightly favours the playstation.Except halo which i reckon will suck bad just like halo2. OK it didnt suck but common the game was halo 1 realsed a couple years later. So if they do that to Halo 3 then fanboys will have nothing to defend but xbox live which i enjoy.
I dont know if the ps3 will be better, but im damn confident it will be, and for those who think otherwise FFS its not even out yet!!!!!!!! For those that cannot aford both save your money and wait, because you will be slighly disappointed with M$ new offering
