until that & if that happens for selection of mod(s) that is in the future as they have 17 now in varying stages of activity. i am not saying i want to be a mod nor denying it either but i'm not going around proclaiming i want to be a mod because it shows i am after power & you don't get respect with power but with knowledge. i've only been here for about 9 months & probably reached addict status the quickest tho not certain on that but there are members here who have been here longer than me so if the time comes we'll let the mods & admin decide on who would be the next mod(s) not us

maybe for you but until that day comes if it comes i'm not even going to dream or worry about it. i'm not like a certain member not on this mod list wanting to reach a status for bragging rights. andmerr knows who i'm talking about as does neph.

just so you know, ddp, i'm not here posting to proclaim that i want to be a mod; in all honesty, i don't. i'm neither fair nor patient enough for such a position at this point in my life. i don't feel i could perform such a job at the level that is needed, however multiple members here feel you'd excel at the "jarb."
thank you, ddp, for your dedication and hard work around here. when the day comes, i hope you're made part of the "elite few." however, until then, i suppose you're right: we shouldn't worry or dream about it.
what member could you be referring to? lol, i'm in the dark :-P

I'm with L-Burna on this one.
I think the title system is pure crap.
I know this forum is too big now, but it would be nice to go back to the old system, where each senior, and addict, were chosen...post counts don't mean jack!
In order to make it where posts counts would have a little bit of credibility(I know im going to get flamed for this)eliminate safety valve,and other chit-chat forums,from the post count total.
ddp I think you would make a great mod...I myself, wouldn't even want the job.

ah, i though senior and upwards were chosen by merit, not just post counts, that was my understanding anyway

naw, don't say that!, i only joke about post counts in the post count threads for fun, i honestly thought it was all about post quality (which is all i aim for anyway). I also participate on work-related forums a lot, and thankfully those are also public forums so it's obvious i'm not out there for titles, for instance.
Don't understand why ppl would use forums as a bragging thing, it's all publicly accessible and it's always obvious when ppl do it. bizarre!

just re-read your reply. did you find some of my non-afterdawn stuff then ?. would be hard not to though as (similar to Jane1 - shudders lol) i have the same nickname on other forums, plus 'creakyjoe' on another.
Unlike the one Rotary found recently which was a sports forum in the UK where there's another Creaky. that's definitely not me!
