somebody plz answer!
when I try to export iml file it says: "too short location length : less than 600000 sectors"
somebody plz tell me why. nobody has answered this question that has been asked many tiles before by other people.

use Nero, it does the same thing, that program is so old anyway.
open Nero smart start, choose expert mode, go to data and create ufo/iso disc. then continue with the guide using Nero to drop the files in.

it does work because i have a working backup of gameshark on DVD and also a working backup of ar max.

I followed the guide, & it almost worked.
this is what i did:
1> ripped the ar max cd using blindread to iso (since DVD Decrypter only rips dvds) then ripped the iso once more using isobuster
2> extracted that rar download into same folder & edited both msys & sys files in notepad (my ar max is sces 500.09 so i had to adjust for this in msys)
3> put files in order in Nero as the same in your screen shot & burned
booted it using swapmagic, after the ps2load screen & selecting 'ar max evo' from the menu item, the screen goes all black for about 5secs, then all red & hangs.

lol i made something for this a while back and it worked perfect its just an iso and a bit of magic tool fiddling...
PS2 SlimLine v14.

If it goes red and hangs then you just have to wait a coupele of seconds for it to load.
Works perfectly for me! Thanks!
And when you try to export the iml and it gives you the less than 60000 whatever sectors then just creat a dummy file of about 1.5 gb and drop it in the compilation.

nope.. it goes all red & stays on that screen. i gave it like 10mins.
its gotta be something wrong with my ar max backup method.. everything else is perfect cause the dvd boots up til it gets to ar max.
ive checked the file order dozens of times, & even tried not to update files on it so its a clean iso rip of it, & to no avail. is anyone else getting this red screen problem when booting up ar max backup?
its sles 500.09 v3.36.. someone help!!!!!!!!

Hm, don't use Nero I guess.
Try making the compilation in CDVDGEN instead.

well i was gonna start a new thread..but well heres my problem
i have a backed up gameshark version 4 and an action replay max evo...im trying to use it to play my backed up games.. now for gameshark...when i use swap magic to load it and then select the codes and then start game..it ejects by itself..i then put swap magic dvd and it loads the swap magic page..i swap it for my back up game, it looks like it going to load but just takes me to the browser page of the ps2 system showing the memory card and right next to it a ps2 cd. when i click on the cd the screen goes black and it js shows the same thing again..
and with ARmax..i pretty much did the same thing swap magic cd -> backup ARmax -> swap magic dvd -> backup ps2 game...only this time my screen goes black and just about stays that way...
its kinda late right now but im gonna try this guide in the morning..but anyway if anyone has any other sugestions or smthn id appreciate it..thanks..and sorry for the long post

hmmm...well i followed the guide perfectly..everything went great...the game even loaded..but the codes didnt work...i dont get it..i tried it a few times..still the same...one question tho...in ARmax...does the description of the code have to be the same as what the website says?
for example the page where i got the codes says : infinite HP
i put down Infinite health..would that make a difference?

yea i double and triple checked the codes...the (m) code is the first code it asks for..then u add the other codes...hmm..i dunno..i have a max memory 16mb card...i used to use gameshark with my sony memory card..and al i had to do is swap magic - gameshark - swap magic - ps2 game.. that would work great..unfortunately my sony memory card is broken..and i got this instead...i do need to try some other games...maybe it might be an error on my part.ill try some other games as well and post again later..thanks anyway

What game is it?
I put infinite health for Dragon Quest 8 and it kinda works. In battle the HP would go down, but then when you get out of the battle the HP would go back up without healing.

i was playing kingdom hearts.. apparently they didnt have kingdom hearts built in...they only had kingdom hearts 2..so i manually entered all the cheats..but i selected only 1 or 2..i jus got back from work so im gonna try out some other games in a bit to see if it works

well i just tried out a few other games...like god of war and devil may cry 3..and well once again the game loaded..but the cheats didnt..well for dmc 3 i was waiting for the game to load..before i could play the screen jus went black and stayed that way
...man it takes so long to load the game which ticks me off...
anyway ill try something else again

woah!!! never mind my last post...i jus tried god of war again..and it worked!!!! the cheats worked....they worked great..lol ill have to try devil may cry 3 again...and this is an edit...kingdom hearts finally worked..i got teh cheats to work...this time i took the cheats from code junkies website...this is sweet..thanks alot everyone..

thts where i got em from...but i was using the wrong cheats...for kingdom hearts..the have infinite hp separate for "in battle sequences" fixed it...thanks anyway

Hi, as you ca see, I am a n00b at ps2 stuff... I am just having a problem with the whole code list not showing up...I have a Swap Magic v3.8 coder, I know it has codes, but I like AR Max better, everything works perfect for me, until I try to view the codelist... I don't have an original EVO, but I have the AR MAX v3.06 with the max card.... is there any possible way that I can get them to work???

3dluis you've done a great job here!
GameFaqs.com has saves for the AR Max & Codebreaker devices. Most of their saves are for NTSC (US/Japan) but they have some PAL (Europe) codes. Somebody needs to upload...
