Hi, first of all thanks again for the advice of updating my super usb 4 box, couldn,t have been easier. just a quick question.in the menu channel edit it doesn,t give you the option of moving the channels, is this order of channels fixed or is there a way of moving the channels, thanks

SV4 USB sorts the channels auto by channel number as they are on a CC STB box (subbed box). You cannot change the order,there is no SORT OPTION (its there but its yellow/greyed out and you cannot choose it),on the other hand you can skip channels you dont want to watch via channel edit>skip option,that way you can keep the channel for future vewing, but when you are channel hopping it will skip past(wont show) the ones you have selected to skip, also you could use the favourites option to put your channels in different favourite sections.

hi every one i sound like that doc of simpsons there lol ive got a replay light my friend bought when i set it up it says no connection but ive done outher boxs no prob

A friend done sofware transfer from the box to starview1(i know he shouldn't have) but the starview is now frozen with the box on the screen .Is the starview now broken as no other menu can be got?

Leeds81 - There might be away to fx the original st*rview try folowing.
Connect to computer as normal,but have oer off at back,load up Gtrom with core 1.5 400e bin file,Press "download" and at the same time switch on the box at the back,this should force the flash and fix the problem

Hi guys,
a small problem with my St*rview 3 The Box Suoper. I have flashed it with 8.04 and it says download complete, but then the box says Ld80 and goes blank. No nos. or anything.
Any help would be much appreciated, as in the past, cheers.

Hi Guys,
I'm very frustrated.
I am a Box Super owner since Nov.
I have been unable to get the fix since mid Dec whel N*L scrambled the signal. I've downloaded the GTROM from Eamos library.
However CANNOT get the Box flashed.
I have PC with 2 COM channels.
Connected to Box with Null modem cable.
No matter what I do flash download stays at 0%.
I have also tried with mu laptop at home - no luck.
I've switched Box on/off several times.
Just cannot get PC to communicate with Box.
Any help appreciated.

not an expert like the other genuises(you know who you are lads!!) but did you check and see if the com port designated to the null modem cable matches up?check in device manager and if they're different then you can change it.also most people find a lappy with vista wont download...xp seems to work a lot better.
live a little...you cant be old and wise if youre never young and crazy!

hey everybody,problem with s***view 1 clone,sound good but picture is stickin evry second or two ,it was workin fine up til a week a go, have checked aerial connection no splitter all help greatfully accepted

could be a couple of simple things,digital works ongoing in your area or slighlty lose scart lead.give it a day or two to see if it resolves itself after trying all other options :)

i have tried it in a couple of places,dublin kildare and galway,still the same way, reflashed it a couple more times ,i have flashed boxes before and jtagged some boxes but this has me stumped

reflash it again you must not o got it right the first time happins i done that once try it again

i have two boxes side by side the good one say signal is 87% and the one that is sticking wont put up the signal when i press the sig button if its any help

Vicatron / all,
I have checked COM port number and that it is working OK via device manager. I have even plugged cable into both ports .. and tried downloading via COM 1 and COM 2 in each port. No luck.
Could you confirm that everything I need included in GTROM.exe file .... firmware and communications software ?
Any help appreciated.

hi allen,have you tried flashing with earlier firmware to see if that helps and manually enter keys,just to rule that out,im afraid you have more exp than i have if youve jtagged!

Lads,
Ive got the b0x super starview 3 and have been trying to upload the most recent firmware from eamos library since xmas. However I keep getting no percentage upload or else flash update failure.Having looked at this thread it seems to be quite a common problem but I've tried all the suggestions. Any ideas where I'm going wrong? I'm using a null modem cable and a usb connection adaptor as well so I've gone through the setting up of my com port - I use com port 3. I've been trying this for a while and still nothing. Any help greatly apreciated. Thanks.
