Ive got the b0x super starview 3 and have been trying to upload the most recent firmware from eamos library since xmas. However I keep getting no percentage upload or else flash update failure.Having looked at this thread it seems to be quite a common problem but I've tried all the suggestions. Any ideas where I'm going wrong? I'm using a null modem cable and a usb connection adaptor as well so I've gone through the setting up of my com port - I use com port 3. I've been trying this for a while and still nothing. Any help greatly apreciated. Thanks.
Josh.
also a common prob is faulty null modem cable

emu is on and cable is in right place. does the box find channels on setup if there is no signal? with the exception of chorus info channel all others say no signal, no matter how long i leave it on that channel.

Afraid that it does not find channels when there is no signal, when you get that message it usually means exactly what it say's, "there is no signal" - so you either have got a bad connection somewhere in your COAXIL Cable (To Cable Input Socket), you have not chosen your correct provider before Installing/Scanning or it is down completely

You do not look for a BIN file or use that feature on the Starview The Box Super (Does it say that top left fron of box) - the SV3 Super is an all in one (UFL) loader and firmware combined, you just press DOWNLOAD button on the left hand side of the GT Rom The Box Super 8.04.

are you on vista?if so it would make your life a whole lot easier if you could try the download on a pc running xp with a serial port.

Fine and yourself I hope karl mate :)
LondonE13, how have you got the box connected, is it by a proven NULL MODEM lead only and not via an adaptor and what OS are you using XP or Vista.
EDIT:- LOL karl, got to stop meeting like this, and try to slow down :)
