Kinglion : so in short his softmodded xbox plays everything but dvds ? as for the apps lmao didnt you installed them? more linux files? why ??? the xbox is already softmoded so its un needed.!
newbish talk ! lol not all softmods are the same and look the same. i do NOT recommend ltools i nearly ended up with a brick case! sid 4 all the way , it protects you very good.
hmp007 : what menu did it get you to? is your xbox softmodded alredy?
if you installed the emus on E but you dont see them is because you have to REFRESH the list .... simple fact that the game DOES NOT fit on your retail hard drive!
and i would NOT recommend burning games to hard drive via unleash x , insted install dvd2xbox and burn the game from there!.

I FTP'D DVD2XBOX TO MY XBOX IN e\apps...and when i go to file explorer on my dash(unleashX) i can see it when i click on e\applications......but i cant launch it when i click on apps on the menu cause its not there

your sopose to refresh the list , say you click on apps then it says noting try pressing start or X or black or white from there you click refresh and reboot and see if it fixes it .

umm i cant play halo2 for some reason....its not scratched but it just wont load campaign or when i select split screen......it will say waiting for all players to load
ADDED:umm please dont ban me for askin a halo 2 question....ill ask somwhere else

quick question before i leave, i read somewhere or im prob making it up. since the box is a comp, (im waiting for a 260 gig HD from ebay) can i just place my new HD into the box, have the box boot from DVD DRIVE, and have THE AID 3 on DVD in there, and install everything like that to the HD???
cuz i have had NO LUCK WHATSOEVER FTPing my box to comp. so can i just swap the hard drives, and try to install AID,and unleash x.
can someone refer me to a tutorial on how to setup a HD w.o FTPing it to a comp. thanks

wont work because you dont have a mod chip. ... if you had a chip then it would work exactly how you just said it , since its a softmod it REQUIRES the hard drive to be locked , i duuno if i said it but you MUST FTP your EEPROM.bin so you can make a linux cd to boot on pc and create your hard drive from scratch... it sounds like a bi@%$ but really its very easy! you need xboxhdm1.9 a blank cdr , a hard drive that is lockable and finaly sometime with a pc .

mike or gus! heres another question for ya,
how do i play movies on the box. i tried clicking play dvd, and play/resume and nothing happens. is there a special procedure i need to do in order to play movies? has has anyone heard of xboxmediaplayer?

i remember playing my cousins (both of them) xbox, and when i went to (i guess it was emulators, it was 2 yrs ago) i could choose ALL the SNES games i wanted.but their boxes where chipped
my question is how can this be done with this one, cuz i have ps something (for playstation) and i go the SNES emulator, but nothing works no games nothing.
where can i "download" a SNES (with ALL the SNES games invented) emulator, so i can burn it and save it to my HD. a helpful tutorial to emulators would be good enough, thanks
also....on my main menu, everytime i scroll up or down, it doesnt make any noise, before it did, and now it doesnt, whats up??

john5 on aid 3 theirs an app called dvd x2 dangle free dvd player ( or sometin like taht ,) you must install it then u'll be able to watch dvds w/out remote control . or use xbmc too i belive.
as for emus you install snes emu from aid 3 and download the roms from the net ( game cartiages on data formate) and then FTP them to E/emus/snesx/roms/ here
it doesnt need to be chipped a softmoded xbox = the same as chipped box its just that with a chip you can put lcds to moniter temp and other side stuff ( which i think is kinda stupid but thats me ) as for the noise? try reisntaling the dash , u dont loose info just reinstaling the dash.
UB3RG33K : the files ( 2 ) have to be .zipped or .rar and then transferd to ar mem read here if you need more help -->

why would you press back? anyways power on the xbox pop in the game and reboot it with game inside and re mod it .

it was an ACCIDENT...here this is what i posted at other places
i think i just fucked my xbox over...i was installing a softmod when i accidently hit back...it stopped the install and i tried to reboot without game disc and got error 13...the put in splinter cell (which i was using to softmod) and i went to try and reinstall softmod...but i cant...i choose dashboard and it says
failure
batch process falied
the last itren was: .
action: rename
is there anyway to fix this...or do i have a big paperweight

no you dont have a paper weight Yet ... so you got that error with the sid 4 ey? when you were modding it did it give you the same error at some point on the modding steps???? if so then you have bad sid 4 files....
auzzie man we gotta update this :( . ok for your solution you can

** HOTSWAP IT ** read under my sig on how to
or try running any aid disc ( 3 ) and just re mod it ( or reinstall the dash )
either way hotswap will always fix any error but this is an easy fix

hello, i'm totally new to this softmodding biz and wanted to get some help. So i transferred the files onto my memory card and now when i try and transfer them onto my HD i get a message saying that my dash is an older version or something. how can i transfer files to my HDD. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

i still seem to be confused, i understand that you download ROM for the game you want, but being the lazy american i am, is there a ZIP, RAR like 500mbs or something that has ALL the SNES games, and a seperate file that has ALL the N64 games, etcetera.....?????
cuz dont think im not looking, but i am and i cant find one! i looked at freeroms.com, and others, but still. i need guidance!!! thanks,

kashman try connecting going to settings > system info and tell me what dash version you have? you can try to connect to xbox live so you can have the latest ms dash version
UB3RG33K : you had to had sid 4.0 or 4.5 or 6.6.6 1 of these . .. but try what i mentioned try loading aid3 and reinstalling the dash hotswap will fix it all or you can try to load the linux then FTP a fresh ms dash from the net to C ...
john5: have you tried googling???? you'll find everthing and hate to break it to you but lazyness is not accepted lol not for the outcome of this ! !!! theirs torrents and websites look out there ... theirs p2p programs etc etc...

you mod halo 2 = PERMENET BANNED! and i hate modders END OF HALO 2 DISCUSSION . but with a softmoded xbox you can litererly do everyting you couldnt do since its a computer ( play classic snes nes ps1 sega gba gb and ds games ... ) surf the net play backed up games from hard drive no loading time.. etc etc lots more
basicly the purpose of this softmod being able to be safely on xbl was because you would have to uninstall the softmod everytime to play onx box live BUT with this you just turn it on a diffrent way and it patches everything back to normal that way you dont have to uninstall stuff .
