I'm just really impressed that there haven't had to be any updates lately. Seems to be working well these days.

Hehe i also thought there was an update out of the blue when i saw this thread in my inbox.
I don't do much ripping anymore, not of new stuff anyways, i'm usually just ripping my older stuff so that i can convert them to AVI's.
But yes, it is good to see that Fab's on top of everything and the movie studios muct be taking a break from messing with us.

Hi creaky. Yes, I'm also not doing too much ripping. Really not that great flics out. Wolverine's been out at the mom n pop shop, but I haven't snatched it yet. Movie studios know it's a losing cause. They also have their hands full w/all that $$$ they invested in Blu-ray.

Oh no, that's torn it!. Nice find, downloading now. cheers.
dr_ml422 - there's not been much out to grab my fancy, but yeah, i guess the studios are probably more interested in Bluray now.

@ 7 Stable Beta? Just curious. Why not the straight update? I think I'll wait. Pathplayer was acting up though. I had to disable it, and on a old flic too.

They made some PathPlayer changes to make it operate better, perhaps the beta would address your issue.
What kind of trouble were you having?

Darn thing would just keep on searching and searching and wouldn't stop. I had to turn it off and restart Fab again. I can't recall the flic, but it was a older 1. I was surprised it did that.
I must admit though either they made Fab faster or this new build I made is a real screamer or both. I was knocking out flics at about 9-10 mins. or so. If I could install this w/out having to uninstall the previous version i would. It's a pita to have to go back if it's pretty buggy.

The 6.0.4.0 goes really fast. I just put in one about 2 minutes ago & it's already at 80%. You all are right though they're not really any good flicks out right now, but I'm a big Grey's fan so that's about five or 6 discs that I have to go with.

With PathPlayer enabled (my recommendation) it will take longer. The end result is that content doesn't get skipped over or removed.

I got to check my settings because so far the ones I have for it have worked well. No skipping & nice results.

Fab did recommend a while back turning off Pathplayer w/certain flics as well as posts here in the forum. When I say search and search I mean almost to the point of sounding like a coaster running. Hey I'll try out the new version.

I checked my setting & it's at "enable pathplayer when necessary" (settings are disable, enable when necessary or always enable) which is the auto. I think this is the best setting since sometimes it's unnecessary. I guess for most of the ripping I've done it was not so that's why it moved so fast.

@dr_ml44
You shouldn't be lending out your "own new old flik, but lending the burned back up. That way you always have the original pressed disc.;)

Hi garmoon. I didn't lend out anything. I backed up everything on TYs and Verbs and put them in a aluminum DJ case from SMS. The rest are on 3 hdd's. It got to outta control. I learned by trial n error. Just burn the ones you really want to keep and watch any time. I was bleeding the sources dry and running outta space in my apt. at the same time.

For the last two updates for DVDfab, I have not been able to select the customize split and split. Is this an issue with DVDfab, or have I inadvertantly screwed something up?
