remember sony discussing how "omg the psp can be a controller too!" but does anyone know if they still will support it? i mean, the psp does not have motion sensing abilities, and therefore may only play mostly older backwards compatable games. what would really be the point? it doesnt even have as many buttons or sticks as a ps3 controller. is there anyway this can truly work? i believe it will just be there to transfer media between system and all that. and what if your wireless router issnt so hot and it doesnt seem to want to let computers connect on a lan, how will that work? and with ping, would it lot lag if used for a controller? i really believe the main reason we havnt heard anything about this recently at all is because sony dropped it for any use outside the xmb or linux.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

well I wouldn't use it as a contoller even if there wasn't motion sensing. It would suck it doesn't have analog sticks.
Thats what makes me think sony may be talking about something else but I dunno.

I know I just joined the thread and arnt really sure all that has been discussed, but you really dont think its possible, like the Gamecude/GBA fiasco? Im sure if it is implmented it wont be mandatory for games (Final Fantasy Chronicles), but its always a welcome to addition for some games, like sport games for example.

back when i had 1.5 i used my psp as a controller for the ps2...cuz no wires. But the psp has no L2 or R2 and only 1 analog so it was gay.
I dont get anubis's post cuz the psp is not suppost to be used as a main controller for the ps3.Why would u need to when u have a normal ps3 controller that works better? Like Lexz says the psp would probably be for optional little extras like back mirrors for GT games and such. Also like on MGS4 u can use the psp to controll many of Otacons driods.. stuff like that, not really necessary but still kinda cool. Kinda adds more purpose to the psp. Good move by Sony cuz it gives ppl another reason for wanting a psp.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

to me it is like before people want to buy a psp for their ps3 they're gonna need to make better psp games, and lower the price on memory cards to save your ps3 stats.

if theres a psp2, it needs tilt sensing and 2 analog sticks for some kick a$$ fps. wow if only the psp had 2 sticks.....
i bet it can be used for selecting music to play on ur ps3 thru the surround sound with a visual of ur ps3 library on ur psp.

that is very unlikely they will redesign the psp that much, maybe when the psp2 comes out we will see more integration, but for right now it will take alot for me to buy a psp

That would be sick, the psp's controller blows. It controller was meant for people with small hands, it would be sick if you could use a ps2/ps3 controller via USB
