Right now, ATI is the best part of AMD in my opinion.

Ati is AMD! The smartest thing AMD did, was acquire Them! A lot of the "Woz" era employees who only Knew how to work for an extreme Control Freak like old Stevie W, either adapted to free thinking again after all those years, or were replaced by people capable of doing just that! I also credit AMD for listening to Ati, and taking their people's recommendations. Amd has somewhat disappointed us in the past 8 or 9 months, but everything they've shown has always shown better results than what they offered before. I think that the "Aces up the sleeve" ck mentioned in another post, may be right around the corner. Maybe as soon as the AM3 Phenom II! Motherboards should be inexpensive for AM3 because almost all the hardware on the AM2+ motherboards, is used for the AM3 and is already there, and the DDR3 controller is in the CPU. The price shouldn't be much more than Current high end AM2+ motherboards, and maybe even cheaper than some existing AM2+ motherboards since a lot are forward and backward compatible!

Russ

I know that ati is part of amd, the thing is due to laws and legislation, as they are still using 2 brand names, the money the companys earn has to stay within that part of the company, as they are still trading under their respective names????. however the tech each company controls doesn`t.

Yes but AMD should be making some kind of profit off of ATI. Why by a company you can profit from. Those profits can lead to better development for AMD to catch up with the better success that ATI is having atm.

Just thought i'd share my overclock with everone on my Q9550 C1 stepping, temps are 60c-63c load.. I passed 7 hours of Prime and 3 passes of OCCT, load line calibration is enabled to avoid vdroop in the bios with v.core at 1.3625..

Nice........... How about some Sandra Benchmarks? CPU Arithmetic and Memory bandwidth and maybe CPU Multimedia. Let's see what it can do! If you could scroll the slider down so the CPU speed shows, so there's no misunderstanding as to what we're seeing, that would be good!

Thanks,
Russ

spamual,
Hey guy! You want to do something about the size of those pictures. They are blowing up the whole screen. They blow up anybody's screen with the resolution they're at. Use the thumbnails and that won't happen! They will louse up everything for everybody until you remove them and use something smaller or the thumbnails. As it is, it made my screen almost twice as big, so I have to scroll half a page to read something.

Thanks,
Russ

elusiv1,
You also need to reduce the size of your pics. Both yours and spamual's posts are blowing up our screens. Use thumbnails instead. Until they are resized or removed and replaced with thumbnails the screens will remain blown up!

Thank's
Russ

Spam: Actually both of them did, I typically view aD in a window similar to the size you get using a 1280x1024 monitor, and they did not fit.

Sheeny: I'd avoid those ACase cases, just because they have big fans, doesn't mean they should.
