Yes, all it is trying to tell you is that the device/software you are trying to install has not been tested by Windows. So basically, if anything goes wrong, they aren't liable.
Just 'continue installing'.

ok, everything is wroking great but my MP3s...
Everytime i try to transfer them to my V220 phone, i get a error message...
"Unsupoorted Format. (mp3 codec may be inapporiate or missing)"
Anyone want to take a stab at this one???

...Does anyone know what this error means??? The PPP protocol link has been terminated.
I get it when trying to connect to the internet with my v220, it did work once before too. thanks.

hey
i have a g3p video clip on my pc right now, i do not know how to view it on my phone. i have p2k driver, i have USB cable, i am able to put mp3s and pictures on my phone. does anyone know how to put g3ps? i have a motorola v220 phone

Gem20 - THANKS ALOT...IT FINALLY WORKED!
BUT I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM!! I PUT A RINGER ON MY PHONE, AND NOW I CANT GET IT OFF :( IT SAYS "REQUEST DENIED BY PHONE" WTF?? SO I CHANGED RINGERS ON MY PHONE AND IT STILL WONT DELETE OFF :/ AND SOMETIMES IT WILL JUST CHANGE IT SELF TO THAT RINGER :(..PLZ HELP

hi.i have a v220 , mpt it doesn't work.I have followed the steps,it doesnt work, i have downloaded all kind of versions of mobile phone tools and usb drivers,it doesn t work.The problem is:
Mpt start correctly, it recognize the phone(display the operator and display that the line is ok), all seem to be ok , but when i try to explore my phone(with multimedia center), the program blocks displaying the hourglass.but the strange thing is that in the first time i have used it , the multimedia center works, but only for 2 times.now i can never explore the phone.help me please.thanks.

Hey could you help me please?
I have just downloaded the mobile Phone Tools 1.23c and now its installing, but it has come up:
"Please insert disk 1 that contains the file layout.bin."
what should i do?

Have you tried deleting it both ways, from the phone and through MPT. I would have thought you would have to delete it the same way you put it on, but i don't know.

Motorola V220 HEllo peeps...CAn anybody pls help me Change my ring tones??? i sat on my phonee and the screen shattered so i cant see the view of my phone...can u pls give me some instruction how to change my ring tone i figure out how to get to the ring tone menu but i dontkno what button to press to apply my new ring tones....i would gladly put out of my misery if someone can help me here PLs anybody?

Press Menu button (top centre)
Down twice to Multimedia
Then select (top right)
Down three times
select
Then play (top right)
The first ringtone will then start to play, decide which one you want by navigating through the tones by pressing right or left.
When you have selected the one you want, while it is playing
press menu (top centre)
then select (top right)
This will apply the current tone as the ringtone.
Wait a few seconds and the ringtone will start to play again, this means the phone has saved that tone to it's memory as the ringtone
Press back (top left) four times
This will bring you back to your home screen.

I think it is basically saying that there is a driver (or codec) missing that allows the system to play the MP3. I'm not sure if it's the PC that can't transfer them or the phone that can't store them.
Will investigate it further for you.

I would try downloading it again. Use the links at the bottom of my post, they include ones for v1.23, v2.21 and the P2K drivers. Follow the instructions from 15. June 2005 @ 09:39 on page 32 of this thread.

O.k...
I've been playing around with this for a bit now and can't get the media center to work. I've tried many versions and setting it up with and without the "designated" p2k and usb drivers. No matter what I do the phone will connect and communicate fine. However, as soon as I enter the media center the app will hang for around 1 minute and only function on the local computer side. As soon as I leave the media center, the phone icon for the app shows the connection was lost. What's going on here???? Any tips?
I'm using WinXP SP2 and a V220 over standard USB.

Does anyone know what could be the cause of Mobile phone tools suddenly not detecting my cell phone when its plugged in?? It worked for a long time and my cell phone still works as a modem for my computer, so my pc reads it and im pretty sure all the drivers are still installed since it works.
When I try to redetect my phone when it asks, it doesnt work either. If anyone has any suggestions it would be a great help, Thank you!

i have a slight problem and there seems to be a lot of you guys out there that might be able to help me. if so that wouldbe great.
i had just bought the data cable and software for motorola v220. i had followed the instructions by 1st installing the driver and then installing all the things that the computer recognized right to the phone by the p2k file. after that i opened p2kman and it recognized my phone but had an error everytime i tried to transfer something.
it would be greatly appreciated if someone could please help me with this. since i am not able to put my email address in here, it is on the left hand side of my website right below my picture. u can reply through that or on here. either way i just badly need help. thanks again

Help......When I try to access the links that are provided here for downloading the drivers and software for the V220 Motorola cell phone , I get redirected to a website for MSR something or other....its all in spanish I think..... is anyone having the same problem or is it something that it only my computer?? Please help asap... Thanks
