Dont know if it been mentioned or not, dont realy care!
Has anyone though about it, backing up a PS3 game would take days. Even if you aint backing up originals who the hell will wait to download 50GB for one game. Thats like some peoples download limit for a year lol. What you think?

Yeah I guess backing up your own disc will be the only way to go instead of downloading the games you already have. But who knows how hard/long it will take to hack bluray. It could be a long while before people start making backups.

"tycobb" my post has no reference to Hacking the PS3, or how people think they might do it with modchips or whatever! All i am simply stating is the point i originally made! Unless a new way is created which does not use some sort of streaming then people are gonna be waiting along time to backup their original games!

Have you people looked at the rest of this site! This whole place is about piracy or whatever! What you call the PS2, GameCube and all the other scenes!!! So what makes PS3 a no no

And this site try's hard to not have piracy on it. Theres a diffrence between what you said and backuping the original game.

I gave you the answers you wanted.The link had more links and the last one discusses back ups.I thought you might find it useful but I guess not.This site is NOT about piracy.Period.
In order to play back up game you must have a modded console.So it's the same discussion.

Ok maybe i never wrote it correctly and for that i send my applogies, the way i meant it is that for those who aint literally using their originals to to create backup but choose to use the internet to download them (but own the game) then they will have to wait a long time!

Ok bruv, i aint even got the console yet so i dont know why people are chatting about the modchips! The gamecube hook like 2 years to hack, so if it gonna take that long Wow, were gonna be in 2009! but then it could be like the 360!

Well if you have the original disc you could just rip it.Certainly there will be some difficulties as first but as time goes on there will be a way to do it.You could say the same thing about movies ripped from a brd or HD-DVD they will also be huge.They will think of something no worries.

i interpreted that as backing up a backup which would mean you obviously don't have your original copy to begin with, which is piracy. i am not arguing with you but your comment is a bit ambiguous and i think that is what tycobb may have thought as well.

There is two kinds. There is a cheaper and a more expensive ps3. So the leats expensive ps3 has a smalelr hard drive then the more expensive one.

Your exactly correct hade.I thought the same thing LOL.
Also the gamecube took longer because there wasn't alot of interest and they didn't use dvd's.That makes it alot harder.Ps2 and xbox did NOT take 2 years more like 2 months and 360 was hacked in about 5 months.

it all depends on how well Blu-ray does(seeing HD-DVD as a competition)..if they dont sell discs then therell be no back-ups.

Yeah but bluray is the game format for ps3 so even if bluray as a movie format fails it will still be a successful game format.The discs will be available as well.
