I'm pretty pissed right now, i just called 3 stores in Canada (where i live...)and they told me they arent gonna be taking pre-orders, because of what happened with the 360's overheating, and problems like that. So looks like i'm gonna be camping out a Future Shop At 4, 4 15 in the morning, probably with my dad and friend.

Okay. Maybe I overreacted a bit. Sorry bout that. I guess I was just mad because I probably won't be able to get one at or near launch...mainly because with school I don't have time to drive 45 minutes to preorder/camp.

dude having it a school night has its ups and downs but a person like me who can go when ever to walmart thursday in a small town i am very lucky.

In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

i am still surprised that stores don't hold some kind of midnight or early opening to let people get the system, and get things over with. as far as it being on a school night, the ps2 was released the same way just in october. as hard as it might be, people could always come to an agreement with their parents by making a deal. if you told them that if you can camp you will still go to school that day. you would just come in an hour or two late. not a bad idea if you ask me. something to consider......

Yo anubis i wouldnt camp at gamestop if i was u cuz they actually took pre orders today(well in Washington at least). Why wouldnt they anyways cuz EB is taking them and EB owns gamestop.....

Plus to camp at a game store u would have to be one of the first people and still u might not even get it cuz each game store is only selling like 8 consoles.

Best chance would be target or walmart...especiallt walmart that opens 24/7 so you wont have to camp outside...unless they make you i dont know how it would work.

Just ask someone who got the 360 at walmart they would probably follow the same procedure.

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

@criskahn
um, eb is owned by gamestop to be precise.. i decided now i wont camp there, and its other retailers i'll be going to. i think i'm gunna preorder and camp the place to ensure. i'll need to get my a$$ on these calls to best buy, wal mart, k mart, and target.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

well i guess it closes at 11, but it doesnt open till 8 i think. either way best buy is probably where im going. if there are too many people at best buy when i get there ill go to walmart if they didnt take preorders. ill hit up best buy 30 mins before close.

Walmart is open 24/7. So it is going to be chaos. There is going to be people jamed in the store. Then exactly when the time comes for the ps3 to be released everyone will be fighting to the start of the line.

I think it's best buy for me. Although it's an hour and a half away, I think it's my best bet. I'll probably freeze my ass off. I hope I can get somebody to come with me. I'm also going to have to skip a class or two...oh well. So, what kind of chair are you guys bringing? Like a metal foldup chair or one of those cloth ones that folds up into a little bag..?
