im sure it will take a while...and mind you nothing is going to change drastically on disk 2. Only difference is that instead of dummying all of data0_1, he is trying to discover the couple wav's necessary to make the factory and insectron work, so all methods explained before will be the same.

i know this may sound dumb, but i havent slept for some time now
My disk 1 doesnt load up. i did exactly what thkvl said and the game doesnt load up
any answers please?

Same here, followed svtstang`s guide to the letter and my dvd won't boot...
I read the 40 pages but still can't find what i'm doing wrong :(

you aint doing anything wrong svtstang's guide for disk 1 dont work:(
thkvl's guide for disk 1 doesnt load up

ffs, my dvd doesnt load up. i put the files in the order you say svtstang but the game doesnt load up, when i put it in the same order as the disk 2 order. it works but freezes after the fight with seed. i dont know whats wrong

I'm trying to backup GT4 and I get all the way up to rebuilding the ISO (step 7 as described here). I launch CD/DVD Gen 1.5 and I get this 
What is wrong? Running WinXP w/ SP2 by the way.

I think I can shed some light on the problem a few people seem to be having with DVD 1 of Rogue Galaxy.
I too followed mr Stangs very good guide to a tee only to be left with a DVD that doesn't start, however I did something he didn't say to do.
On step 3 after inserting each file in the shown order, mr Stang says to enter details under the volume tab. I gave the exact details he asks of, however...I changed the license area from Japan to America, it only makes sense is what I thought, it is the American version of the game after all. But as I said after burning the game it didn't boot so I decided to do it over.
This time though I left the license area as Japan while doing exactly the same I did previously and ta-da the game works perfectly.
Hope this helps. =P
EDIT - I also used IML2ISO v 3.1 if that matters.

hi
I was just thinking about an idea of having a dvd, only for insectron and for factory stuff.
I will try this when I have time enough, because my pc takes many time with the extractions.
I will put the 4 Bigfiles (around 4,26 Gb) and only the videos just for initiate the game, I think that neither the factory nor the insectron tournament plays any video, but I'm not quite sure. I suppose that only some videos of the folder 00 will be the ones not to be dummied.
What do you think? has anyone tried this before for playing insectron o factory any time in the game?? Does anyone think I forget something about this method to get it working?
by the way, thanks a lot for your method svtstang, the 1º dvd works perfect; and the 2º, almost flawlessly

I apprciate the words :) BTW, to all, i mentioned this before, but for whatever reason my mvi are smaller then yours, so to make up for that space RELINK vids, do not DUMMY them, then you will be fine.
psycho from alucard is working on a single DVD5 rip that merges all the .dats and deletes repetitive info, but it seems there is still a problem with the extras aka insectron and the factory. Not sure what the file association is with these as we have tried everything, but hopefully it will work soon!

Im not sure that will work. I think it has to do more with the BIN folder than anything else, but that is just an educated guess from all the rips I have tried. By all means try it out and report back!

jeje we are so close of a DVD5 now...by the way what does the xpert2 plug in does then? I guess when this is done the next one will be God of War 2 wich I know wont be easy either.
