i agree, i should be given medication and restrained. But until then, why is it only the people who post strangely and sometimes incoherently (such as a few of your posts) who say such bizarre things.
Are you quite finished now, as this thread is not about my being on the run from Donald Pleasance in 'Halloween', but about Blade House of Chthon..

yeah that guy still chases me too

Ifo's are really too large to upload. One of them is over 1gb
Odds are that the 1GB IFO is coming from the last title set. Don't worry about that one cause it's fake.

Can you upload VIDEO_TS.IFO and VTS_02_0.IFO? Those should be enough to figure out what's going on on the disc.

Hot off the press guys and girls...

http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=228388

Dear all,

DVDFab products 3.1.9.5 Beta is out (Sep 24, 2007):

DVDFab Platinum 3.1.9.5 Beta:
http://www.dvdfab.com/DVDFabPlatinum3195Beta.exe

DVDFab Gold 3.1.9.5 Beta:
http://www.dvdfab.com/DVDFabGold3195Beta.exe

DVDFab HD Decrypter 3.1.9.5 Beta:
http://www.dvdfab.com/DVDFabHDDecrypter3195Beta.exe

What's New:

3.1.9.5 Beta (Sep 24, 2007)
- New: Improved "PathPlayer". Please note when "PathPlayer" is enabled, opening a DVD may need up to several minutes, which is much longer than before.
- New: Added setting options for "PathPlayer".
- New: Added support for a new copy protection as found on "Blade: House of Chthon" (US).
- New: Updated language files.

3.1.9.2 Beta (Sep 18, 2007):
- New: Improved "PathPlayer" to handle DVD with BOV (button over video).
- New: Removed unreferenced VTS and PGC for clean DVD structure and better compression.
- New: Program is signed now for security.
- Fix: Endless opening time in certain cases when "PathPlayer" works.
- Fix: Some DVD content may be removed when "PathPlayer" works.
- Fix: "Encoding FPS" info is wrong for "DVD to Mobile".
- Fix: AAC encoding bitrate is wrong for "DVD to Mobile".
- Fix: Audio data is removed in "VOB passthrough" when selecting LPCM stream for "DVD to Mobile".

3.1.9.0 Beta (Sep 14, 2007):
- New: Brand new "PathPlayer" technology which gives DVDFab the ability to copy DVD content only allowed to be played on a real DVD player. In this way, DVDFab will ignore unplayed content which may contain copy protection.
- New: Added support for a new copy protection as found on "Bridge to Terabithia", (R2, German).
- New: Added support for a new copy protection as found on "Curse of the Golden Flower", (R2, UK).
- New: Brand new "DVD to Mobile" framework which gives DVDFab the ability to take the power of dual core (or more cores) CPU. Our test shows the H.264 encoding on dual core system speeds up to 200%.
- New: "DVD to Mobile" feature uses a lot of of open source libraries, like FFmpeg, x264, xvid, liba52, faac, lame, etc. DVDFab is compatible with open source GPL/LGPL license, and thanks for the help of open source community.

How "PathPlayer" works?
"PathPlayer" works like a real DVD player, it follows every play path of a DVD, visits every thing that you can access on DVD player with a remote controller. When "PathPlayer" finishes, we can know all the DVD content that a real DVD player will read. The copy protection exists in the unplayed DVD content, DVDFab will not read it when copying.

Note: "PathPlayer" is a very powerful technology. We have done test with all our discs which means it's very stable now. But it's completely new so if you encounter problem that some DVD content is not copied, please tell us, thanks!

Best Regards,
Fengtao

This is the one that will seal the deal with all commercial corruption!!! It is the method that I manually use to remove this garbage from discs and it works!!! Wow, this is a major blow to the people that make corruptions! Thanks for the updates!!!

I wonder if it can get through DiskLock corruption, which is the one I made... Won't affect commercial DVDs though, cause it's a DVDR corruption.

DVDIdle has the retail DVDFab Platinum which does the complete backup job from decryption through burning. The DVDFab HD Decrypter is the same decryption software as used in Platinum. I'm glad DVDIdle gives us the freebie, but I wonder if they would continue to do so if there was no close competition. They are making money from the work, though the decryption portion is currently free. I don't know what's happening with Slysoft. In the past they were usually the one with the first update for a new copy protection. Seems they're slipping. For consumers, we just care about it getting done in a timely fashion (preferably free).

Excuse me for the assumption. However, when someone condones stealing however one can and then mentions blockbuster... Well, most people get the picture. Glad to see you're buying those DVDs.

@corty34m - if you han't already, look thru the cdfreaks equivalent of this thread, it's linked a few replies up

edit - make that 2 or three links. ie the Blade House thread, plus the DVDFab 3.1.9.5 and 3.2.0.0 threads over at cdfreaks too, all linked up this thread

Did you download your trial version today? If not you're using an older version which doesn't have the update needed to bypass the copy protection on Blade: House of Chthon.

Looking around the DVDIdle site, I noticed they supply a link for their forum. http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=116 When new to software, you need to look for such things.

I too am completely new to DVDFAB Platinum. However, I found the interface shockingly user-friendly. Just tonight I downloaded 3.1.9.5 Beta to back up the New Line Cinema title "Full of It". "Blade.." is also a New Line Cinema release, so I figured this other title had the same protection scheme since nothing else I have would rip it.

Since DVDFAB Platinum worked perfectly, I bought it on-line and upgraded to 3.2.0.0 in the process. Looks like a really neat, easy to use, product - Can't wait to try using it to put a DVD on my over-priced iPhone.

I Dloaded Clone DVD 2 based on the previous POST and found that all it could see was the EXTRAs. It could not see the main movie any more than all my other programs.

If you used a trick with clone, you need to elaborate.

Maybe ANYDVD will come out with an update will recognize this new ROOT Directory trick that is on that DVD.

I used a sector track snooper and found that some of the directory entries were pointing to clusters that were in the middle of other files. Some were invalid and some were duplicate entries.

And in a week or so, this new technique will be yet another waist of money for them.

My two cents.

If Fengtao got the movie and had time to do the update, Slysoft could have.

DVDFab Decrypter and other rippers should actually be covered in the ripper forums but we discuss them in the DVD Shrink forum because the program relies heavily on them to do bypass copy protection.

DVDFab Platinum is a complete program of it's own and a lot of people who use Shrink, don't need to use DVDFab Platinum. That means you've directed your question to the wrong audience. I'd suggest starting a thread in the correct forum. DVD for newbies might be an idea. CDFreaks has a forum for DVDFab Platinum that DVDIdle directs subscribers too. DVDIdle also has Support.

Since I've only read about the error 102, I can only comment on what I've researched. It's a read error. The first thing I'd do is make sure there's no problem with the disc and then try another program to see if it's the software or another problem with the system. I always start as easy as I can and then work toward more difficult solutions.
