I like the style the 360 has but come on guys you know they made it like that because everyone b*tched about the first one was ugly and how pretty the ps2 was so they took notes but even though alot of people say the ps3 looks like a george foreman grill I think it look pretty I seen some good close up pics. I cant wait to see it in my hands

The gamecube was ugly ok and the original xbo was too. But the xbox 360, ps3 and nintendo Wii all look great this time around.

yeah, dont we all.
@face123, ye i think they did spend quite a bit of time and effort on aesthetics. however, although u dont like the colour of the 360, you can get some really cool skins and faceplates for it. i hope they do something similar with teh ps3 but i dont think they can do anything like taht because of the shape of the console. at best, we'll probably get sticker skins

lol hell yeah Face Sony brought Style to the console world when they came with the Ps2 alot of people need to thank them for that cause we wound have some fugly a** consoles . I did like the genesis though it was nice and so was the Super Nes (yeah the 360 is cool for the face plates) I think the ps3 will have skins too

The original systmes were ugly buy hey they were clasic. Also I dont "hate" the 360 colour I just think that the ps3 colour is better. Yeah I know you can get skins for the 360 as well and it does look cool and you will be able to do that with the ps3 system as well just like the ps2...

eww i thought that the ps2 wus fugly. all of the current gen consoles look like shit, but i think the gamecube at least tried.
lol, on another note, i can only say next gen and current gen for 23 days more. i cant f***ing wait.

wow lol thats the first time I heard that well lmfao I did like the black gamecube but I thought the ps2 look the best . I like those case mods for the cube they was nice and the ps2 as well

lol well Nintendo seems to stick to maken (cute)consoles I think thats why alot of kids swarm them the ps2 and xbox was more like mike tyson in black ready to fight but check this out here's how small the Wii is to the Ps3 ,well its got all of them sized up its pretty cool

i've got 1 question; on the ps3 controller, there are four led lights at the back. waht are they for. initially i thought it was for what position your conroller is in, but then i remembered the ps3 supports seven controllers. here's the pic

mole deep inside the belly of the blue beast that is Best Buy sends word that even employees must shell out full price. For shits and giggles, he/she/it entered the PS3 SKU, and the new console came up as "PS3 Hardware Pro" for US $599.99 plus tax. Our mole continues:
I noticed that there is no Replacement Plan offered on the PS3. Either the PS3 is too expensive, or they haven't gotten it yet. I say both of these because we actually had to create a new SKU for the Replacement Plan for the Premium 360 ($50 plan; never existed before). So they probably have to create a new Replacement Plan SKU for the "Core" and "Premium" PS3 packages.
And the kicker? The mole added his/her/its employee discount and turned up nothing. "Not even a penny," the mole adds. Join the club

i dont like the look of the 360 really. concave makes me think either retardation or a step back in technology. convex makes me think of potential and expandability.
and those of you looking for comparisons..
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

appears the ps3 is lengthwise a hair bigger than the xbox (1), and because of its convex shape its slighly taller. widthwise its almost 1cm bigger.

wow, the wii is so small compared to the 360 and PS3. So, small... butyet again it's not running a 3.2ghz processor, and a nearly top of the line vid card.

the wii is a 5.25" drive with some out of date computer parts inside. i would have liked the wii more if they used a laptop sized disk drive for the wii to make it even smaller. or maybe they did and the other parts take up more space than i thought.

Wow great pic anubis I guess that does settle that ps3 is the biggest console right? But only by acuople of cm apart from the original xbox. I thnik ps2 had the best desighn out of the xbox and gamecube. And now again I think the ps3 looks the best but this time around the nintendo Wii and the xbox 360 are close behind.....

the ps3 supports 7 controllers, there are four leds with numbers to represent which USB port the controllers are plugged into, as there are only 4 USB 2.0 slots...so technically there can be seven players playing a game but only 4 of the seven controllers can be plugged into the system at a time. its actually pretty nice and smart, as i am sure we have all had our controllers tangled and its a pain trying to figure out which wire went to what port. so i'd ASSUME that if your controller is plugged into slot 1, the led for #1 on the controller itself will illuminate.
if thats not why, i have no idea then...

not the case. i just saw the most recent ign weekly and a guy was playing the ps3 with a wireless contoller, taht was not charging via usb and the first led light was on. heres the pic

the number one led could always be illuminated as a default setting, and when plugged into the system it changes to the according slot.
