I highly doubt they will be $60, BluRay costs a lot more that a standard DVD. $60 is a best case scenario, solely based on the price of 360 games. I would not be a bit surprised if ps3 games retail between 80-90 bucks.

i read the wii games price was 60, but i dont know if its been confirmed. nintendo is slacking, maybe there are secret prombles they are trying to mask.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Far as games costing more than 60 buck is false if you look a Blu-ray 1 disc only cost 20 bucks.The cost of a Blu-ray disc for Sony is not a problem and also Sony say they had the tec for Blu-ray 5 years ago.This is nothing more than a rumor by you know who to slow Sony sales which is no going to happen.

I gotta aggree.I honestly think the ps3 games will be $59.99 just like 360 games.I know all about Blu-ray and what they cost but I just don't see them being past $70.
Im speaking u.s. dollars.Best buy is already taking pre orders on games at $59.99.I know not to put stock in something before it comes out but ps3 is only 4 months away and best buy has advanced knowledge of the market and a good relationship with sony.Were talking about the second largest game store in u.s.a. not some kiddy thrift shop.

Yeah those price placeholders are making me uneasy. A cheaper console to develop for should result in less expensive games, right?

If Sony have there games cost more than 59.99 they know they will not sale very many consoles so you can almost bet they will not be over 59.99 in america dollars.

i honestly do not see sony going over 60 americans because they plan to make their money with bluray disk sales. also if disks are about 20 americans to make they would be making a $40 profit if games are totally first person.

well thats about 400 Rand in South africa and wat bout tax and import fee here in South africa, then it will be like 450-500 Rand thats about 69-75 dollors!!!

I agree. I won't be too happy paying 60 bucks for a game. These prices havn't been confirmed, though, and first party titles won't be more expensive than $50 USD.

as it becomes easier to develop for them i guess it should follow that it becomes cheaper too> hopefully they aren't dicks and not pass the savings on to the end user
