Oh I think you'd be fine - really not that bad. But I tend to stick to the newer games and have not that much with ps1 or emulators.
@pspnoobi3
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps in the guide? If not start there.

Hi;
I'm running 5.00M33-4.
I have the following problem. I'm using an 8GB Sony Memory Stick, and it won't let me have more than two games on at a time. I have also a 2GB one, which I have managed to fit 4 on, but the 8GB one will only allow two. I am not a newbie and know what I'm doing as with regards to formatting the card and the format it should be in etc. The games are all stored in an ISO folder on the root, however only two are visible (the first two I put on the card). The memory stick shows up that it has only a small amount of space remaining(there are 6 games in the ISO folder), but only two eBoots are visible. I know that these are all working eBoots, so what am I doing wrong? They were all added at the same time, after a re-format.

^ Is your memory stick legit ???
This problem mostly occurs on fake memory sticks >.>
Go the video option of your PSP, press "triangle" and choose "information"
If magic gate is not supported, then the memory stick is Fake
If supported, then the memory stick is legit

Yep, I tried this late yesterday, and what you've said just confirmed it. It was purchased from eBay from whom I thought to be a legit seller - obviously not. It bears all the hallmarks of it being fake, shoddy packaging, poor build quality etc... we'll see what PayPal and eBay have to say about it. I knew I wasn't doing anything wrong... thanks anyway.

Are you running custom firmware?

no, the FW 3.95 came from an upgrade that was embeded/stored on a UMD game. i have read through the pandora's battery forum, and that sounds, well, destructive. i mean is removing and swapping the magicGate and battery something to be done on every startup? i still use my psp as my primary MP3 player, because on my bike( motorcylce) its so much easier to use the headset buttons... so what ever i do to allow my self to play DLed games, i still need normal functionallity....

You have to have a separate battery to create a Pandora, I believe. I do know that once you have custom firmware you do not have to switch any batteries or anything. The PSP functions as normal, except it plays homebrew and DL'd games. You HAVE to have custom firmware running to run the ISO's, CSO's, and homebrew software files though.

@pspcyber,
you cant play ISO or CSO when you have official firmware. You need to get custom firmware.

@pspcyber,
Sorry, cant help you there. I have been out of the PSP hacking scene too long. Best is to go the Mod and Firmware Section, and start a new thread.
Oh, I know I guy that may help you. He seems to know his stuff, though I dont know him that much. Send him a Private Messga. His username is Mickoz74
