funny how you should come out of the woodwork now with that statement i am not making anyone get a box purely giving them info that is freely available to all if they googled but some people trust long standing members on here
yes you are correct when they do move to N3 there possible an be a break in service for how long nobody can tell that
but if you work out the price of a full sub to any cable company and weight up the cost against the box what do you lose prob a months sub if they go off you can get box for the price of 2 months full service so any one that got one nearly 5 weeks ago are well on their way to getting their moneys worth from it at this stage
put your money where your mouth is and tell us what other box has a fix if you dare ?? and give us all a laugh at this stage if you read any other forums there is not a fix for any other box around
and yes i will always say the best supported box is the KryptView as on the last 3 occasions they have been first on all occasions when the rest could not fix the problem and this also goes for your TOP OF THE RANGE LINUX BOXES BE END OF ALL BOXES

I am not here to argue...just post an opinion which i am entitled to do.
I have a patched box yes...but never said it was working. Would I buy a Kryptview to replace it..NO!
You are assuming the full switch to Nagra 3 won't be for a couple of months which will allow people to get a couple of months viewing and so make the purchase worthwhile...reality is..it could be as soon a next week...no-one knows.
The obvious thing here is that these boxes - linux/patched whatever have been great while they've lasted, and people in the cable scene have got lazy and relied on others to help them with encryption changes, new firmware etc..done by others who to be honest make no money from it..they do it cos they can. Nagra3 is a different animal and will no doubt eventually be cracked but no-one knows when. Until then ALL boxes will be useless...
As I said I just think people (and there are obviously a lot on this board who want easy access to free cable)need to realise what this switchover really means, and make decisions based on fact and fact alone!

agreed with that nobody knows but people make their own minds up as well as you say it could be tomorrow today next week next month next year for the we take a risk every day of our life leaving the house that what its all about risk some times you win sometimes you lose
plus the cost of watching the football in the pub added expense
at least the Kryptview team fixed there boxes where the rest have not like i said 5 weeks and rolling on
and also as i stated linux boxes where supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread where are they now that is what i would like to know all with black screens on the best channels

you need the loader from the link
the software from the link
the video to show you what to do from the link
and the instructions will show you also from the link

just checked it was on.there missing on starview as well,auto scan did not work on starview either fergus?

it could be the fact that they have moved to 150 as the boxes only start scanning from 190 that could be the reason i will let you know later when i check mine

When you load the firmware on to the loader turn the box off at the back then hit download then switch the switch back on again
all the info is on the blue links at the bottom of my posts use them there for to help you

it will open another window for you then you need to dowbload from there you will see the download button when you open the next window
