You guys have my support and I'll do what I can - I also hate seeing aD go down downhill like the others members have said. I'm no angel(well not all the time at least :0) but will stick with the treat others as you would want to be treated. We all came here either to help or for help and this should be a site people want to visit and feel welcome.

I hope you aren't answered out - you really keep us up to date on the hot news in the dvd field. Plus all those pics really kept the mood good - you could always count on a laugh.
For those asking about bbmayo he posted about a month or 2 ago - said work was keeping him busy - I think he's still in Kuwait from what I remember.

you know you still hold the record for putting some one in there place.Remember that guy who really pissed you off and said he was going to get you and within the space of 1/2 hour , you had all his details,IP address and he made a formal apology i think to you........
i remember that one and after all this time it stills is funny.I hope you still have that wit(thank god you sharpened it) as they're are some people who could you it at the moment.

I happened to see this thread in my Afterdawn newsletter so I checked to see my last post. It was March 20th, 2004!!! Neph made a post on that same page. Man that was a loooong time ago!
I spent some time in the 321 forums but very quickly got bored with it all. In the end, the mods (not you Ireland, the 321 employees), were a bunch of jerks. So I figured, why bother.
Where have I been? I just got sick of all of the cocky young people that just rack up posts and really don't know very much about anything. Especially how to treat other people. Plus it has always annoyed me that there are so many people that can't spell or write a coherent sentence.
I just thought I'd add that I've been using the I/O Magic 16X Dual layer burners (I got one for 30 bucks and a second for 20) and they are the best out there. I record a lot of home movies for the family and cartoons recorded from Boomerang for the grandkids, use real cheap 8X media burned at 4X, and they play on ANY player. For myself I use Verbatim 16X and have never had a bad burn. Ever! And I'm talking about over 1,000!!! I had a couple of high priced Sony burners and they were complete crap so I scrapped 'em.

Have spent the last 1/2 hour reading this looooong thread... just saw somebody post this in the IRC channel and thought i would have a looksy :-)
Glad to see ya back Neph, have to catch up again some time.
I very rarely even look at the forum these days, only some posts that are posted in the IRC room, just because of all the crap that goes on, seems to be getting worse and worse, when i first left, i used to lurk and post every so often, now i barely even lurk.
I hope Darth, Neph and Flip come and do a major clean up of all the riff-raff, and i hope good ol dRD and Ketola have some thoughts on the Status system, as i have had a chat to them previously about, and remove it all together... Members and Moderators (oh and Admin) Thats it...
Anyway hope this gets back to some order so i can come and enjoy the forum like the good ol days.

getting rid of some of the fourms and streamlining things may help also like the Safety valve and keeping it a Tech fourm like it should be would solve some problems

Some of us original old timers, spend much of the time just browsing the forums, tend not to involve as much since pgEdit been introduced. But still we linger in the shadows.
As we all know, ripping involves a lot more time and labour than previous, but as time goes, the software rippers redevolop, update and occasionally pop in when theres a major problem.
