Ok So What Are Some of the best dvd discs to use? also what do you mean by rebuit? And should i not use memorex DVD-R for ps2 games?

Get some Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim 8x DVD-R's, they are the best. Memorex is gonna make u coasters and is slowly killing the ps2 laser. Rebuilt means taking out data or removing dummy data so it will fit on a DVD-5.

Dont think so, biggest I have ever seen is 700MB. Ask in a more relevant forum and you might get a different answer though.

So when im bruning a backup disc of a game [trying to brun a game to see if it will work now cuz it wont right now...] should i use DVD-R cuz thats all i got other then cd-r and they are 1 layed disc that hold 4.73gb

yes use the DVD-R, 98% of ps2 games are DVD based. You can convery some to cd-r, but its not worth the time and effort.

k, i put the ps2 disc in and went to mode>iso>read then copyed that then did mode>iso>write then writed to a disc but when i put it in the ps2 it says disc read error...i did this to two am i doing somthing wrong?

Do you have a mod chip or Swap Magic? Cant play backups if you dont. Also burn at 4X, other than that you are doing everything right.

Im so used to it now, no point in getting angry. We both know nobody reads, instead just demand to be spoonfed. The last 8-9 pages have been the same thing, and every question has an answer a couple of posts before it. Oh well, i dont mind. Nothing better to do at the moment, drinking doesnt start till my girlfriend gets off work LOL.
Off topic, looks like we pissed guano off, he hasnt posted in a while, usually he is all over the place ranting:D

Didn't think so.. This is for ps2 dvd backups.
Try the PC game backups forums..

Heres is the easy way, just hit open on the bottom of Nero, and select the iso u wish to burn. Select disk at once as the burning method, make sure the disk is not multisession enables, and then burn at 4X.
On the fly is when you have 2 drives, one for reading and one for writing. While one drive is reading the disk, the other is simultaneously writing to the blank disk. I strongly recommend staying away from this, it will only result in inconsistant burns.

hey i got a quick question. what kind of program do ppl use to burn ps2 "CD" games? i know DVD Decrypter is for DVD games but i need to know one for CD games.

Alcohol 120 is commonly used to burn cd based games, as is Nero.

I'd go with Alcohol 120% because of the compatability tabs and the read subchannel data feature.. Personal choice. Nero works too.

I got my dvd to work with dvd decrypter.
but not fully
I have a modded ps2 that plays pirated copies properly
I then ripped the games and burn it with dvd decrpter
the ones that I burn doesn't boot in my ps2
What I'm doing is I boot the pirated copies 1st that are somewhat scrath and have errors, ingame stuttering when playing the game
while playing the game, I swapped the pirated game to my Burned Copy
thanks heavens it working better than the pirated copy
1)*My problem is I want to know how to boot my burned dvds
I'm planning of putting some dummy files so that the reading on the lenses won't stutter.
2)* But I also don't know how to burn dummy files with dvd decrptor
could anyone Help me with this

First I would stop saying that you "pirate" gams, nobody respects that you admit someting like that and will offer very little help to you. If you want to get rid of dummy data, use gnie's expert tool, it will greatly reduce the TOC of most games with the push of a few buttons. In terms of not being able to boot your games, its probably a media issue. What type of DVDs aree you using?
