Without a mod Chip? Does this mean u r using SM or something of that flavor, cause backups wont boot without sometype of mod. Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim 8X DVD-R always produce excellent backups.

Hi guys,
first of all... thanx for all the advice, the program works great... I just have one question... i bought the 3.6 v9 swap magic for my backups, and when i switch the discs, sometimes it will say not a ps2 disc...it seems like if i wait for about a half minute or so. then the screen goes black and starts the game when i push start... is this normal

LOL!!! I think supermediastore is having 'another' sale on TYGO2s (that always seem to be TYGO3s when u get them...) but either way, u r getting the most reliable media offered.

TYGO2 is 8X, while TYGO3 is 16X. They always ship me TYGO3's, but burned at 4x, they work perfectly.

Okay, I am using a DVD decryptor, to read and write my MDS file... I am using the Taiyo Yuden 8X DVD-R for my writing material. I am using the PS2 Flip Top Cover with Swap Magic Plus 3.6 Boot Disk Combo V9 - v10 as my loading program (I have the SCH-5000 as a playstation 2)
Also... when i am at the home page of my dvd rom driver for my program, it says x is for normal and that square is for special, it sometimes works either way

Alright, u are burning at 4X correct? And also, when u refer to this Quote: when i am at the home page of my dvd rom driver for my program, it says x is for normal and that square is for special, it sometimes works either way
, are u talking bout SM? Also, the games u are backing up are DVD-5, with a TOC smaller than that of the SM DVD, right? Cause anything that is DVD-9 or has a larger TOC size needs to be rebuilt:)

If u still have the iso file, just right click it, click properties, then find the image size. This is referred to as the TOC size. As long as it 4.35 gigs or smaller, no adjustments need to be made. Or, insert the DVD, go to my comp and do the same thing for the DVD drive. Also, heres a link with the TOC sizes of many games:

Do what anymore?? I have never created a Coaster using Devrypter, burning at 4x and using the same DVDs that u just recently got. 4.28 is fine, so just follow these steps and it should work flawlessly.
