Hey guys thank you so much for all of your great help and advice. The mistake that kept happening with my playstation two was simply mechanical(i was not setting the disc below the lip of the flip top, and so it was not spinning and reading the disc) I have my whole system working and, and have only you to thank!

I'm trying to back up Capcom vs SNK 2 and i downloaded the file and the iso image is only 213(mb) so i burnt it with DVD Decrypter to a cd-r and the game doesn't work. Any ideas or suggestions???

i think its a ps1 game. but im not sure. dvd deccrypter is used to burn DVD. hence the name DVD Decrypter. use alcohol 120

ok so i used Alcohol 120% and it didnt work. I dont understand what to do. i mean the retail game is on dvd but the .iso is only 213mb. i got nuthin???????????

ive made a back up of some of my games onto a couple maxell CD-R the data whent on them fine (1 game per disc) but my playstation isnt chipped and its asking for a playstation 2 formated disc.
Is there anyway i can format my CD-Rs to be playstation 2 formated and still put the data on them???

well im afraid ur gonna have to spend sum money nothin is free these days, swap magic is a set of boot discs that u use with the required tool to trick ur ps2 that its shut wen ur doing ur swap with ur backup and is also the cheaper option, do a google search and u shud find modchips and swap magic

cheapo noob. of course your gonna have tp spend money. do some reserach.
modchips is gonna cost you about $120 or somewhere around there.
swap magic cost abo 30-40 with flip top or magic keys and such.

ok, I have DOWNLOADED the game called tourist trophy. Inside I got this:
 (you can see all the rar files, which I opened). yes, I have opened .rar and got this:
I didn't see here any iso file, so I just burned the content on a dvd ana it doesnt work (ofcourse). so tell me, what do I have to do with this file to work? tell me which programs I need, step by step!

hello everyone
i'm very new on making ps2 games. could anyone of you guys answer one simple question please. i'm using a DVD decripter and i've done the read/writing thing or what ever, and i've made a a copy of a game using dvd - R " i don't know if they make any difference but...
yeah i've done all of that and i tryed to play the copyed game on my ps2 and it just doesn't work. i was woundering if you need a game shark/ or mod chip for this to work. please answer my question.

Does anybody take the time to read b4 posting? Yes, you need a mod chip or swap magic or ..........to play backups on the ps2.
