How to load ps2 games from swap magic cd?

So you managed to get uLaunch ELF to run, but it doesn't see the files.
Did you place them in the ROOT of your drive like below

Once you have uLe loaded, try unplugging the USB, then plug it back in. Wait a few seconds, then go to Mass/
If it doesn't see the files, then I would try an other usb.

do u have a swap magic you can sell me or something because shopping online takes forever....

No I don't have any to sell.
Online is the only way to get Swap Magic. It only takes a few days from most places.
If yours was fairly new DVD and doesn't work, then I would send it back for replacement.

i cleaned mine at a repair shop
and everything seems to be fine
but my ps2 does load the swap magic
cd and dvd it does read every other
game that i have though... what can
i do??

Well you can either buy swap Magic again. Its like $20 at gocybershop.ca
Or you can buy a different usb drive and try the fmcb 1.8 again.

uhmm do u know where i can buy a flashdrive compatible with the fmcb??
in a store not online??

What browser do you use? That site loads fine for me.
Check wal-mart or similar for usb drives.

i just want to know wich usb works because i tried fmcb with one but it wasn't compatible so i want to make sure wich ones are....

I have never waited long for an order from them, but I am in Canada, so maybe thats why.
Only a few days.
Anyway go with a Sandisk, like a 1gb, or 2gb. If not that, then Kingston wil work also.
Make sure you format it as FAT32, not FAT

Good for you, well I myself copied the SM 3.8 DVD elf to my memory card.
I use the 694kb elf file.
I have mine set up in the fmcb 1.8 menu using the OSDSYS config, and I have Fastboot set too OFF, in the fmcb configurator.

Put an Original PS2 DVD in the tray.
Start PS2
Launch SM 3.8 elf
Swap for your backup
Choose Normal, then your region
Press X to start game
Pretty simple.
Or you can launch uLe by pressing R1 at bootup with an Original Disk in, have 'Disc Control' set too on
Then browser for the SM 3.8 elf and launch it that way.

well i didnt know how to load up the uLE after installing fmcb so i manually copied over uLE and the SM 3.8 elf to my memory card by booting up uLE with my SM 3.6 dvd. then i configured it to have x load the sm 3.8 elf. in the end it all worked out.

Well at least it worked out. Always a good idea to install uLe with the fmcb 1.8 INSTALL, there is lots one can do with it.

i downloaded and installed freemcboot and everything but now the problem is that the games ive burnt so far dont't work. im using esr and i burned fight night round 3 and naruto accel 2 and fight night goes to a ppink sreen and naruto goes black after the splash screens..what can i do??

I don't have either of those games to test and not sure on the compatility.
Are you using the esr r9b dvdv direct elf.
What speed did you burn at? What brand of disc are using? DVD-R or DVD+R

Most PS2 will not read DVD +RW or any RW discs
Even the ones that will, those type of discs are very hard on the laser.
You need to get DVD-R or DVD+R and burn it at 4x.

Well either the Swap Magic disc is bad, or your laser needs cleaning.

felt123, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP. yours is 400x200 pixels, 165,294 bytes.
2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.
