I tried removing hdd and applying, clearing disk cache, nothing works .
Xbox is from launch and the drive died 1 year ago and got it replaced, not sure which kind and what kind of firmware.
I think I have a benQ if I look at the shape of the drive; following Xbox 360DVD Drive Comparison How to determine which version DVD drive you have in your Xbox 360, Samsung, Hitachi, Benq
+ I see 2 yellow wires in the front.

According to that I would have lite-on drive... cuz of the yellow wires.
Anyway I took my xbox apart and this is the info I got:
Model No DG-16D2S
Manufactured: Febraury, 2009
MS Part No X800474-008
PLDS Part No 3B41216031
Hw Ver: A0A2
FW Ver: 74850C

Philips and Lite-on Digital Solutions Corporation
D33C76 PLD-DG-16D2S(B)
7819503050-B CM-1
I have a lite-on I guess.
I read a bit found some old tutorials but it's not so clear to me.
I ran iprep according to one tutorial and found:
Sata Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller
Device ID: 10B95287
Devide IO: D400C800
According to iPrep it's compatible for flashing using MKTflash and dosflash.
If I wanted to flash my xbox 360 drive I would need to hook the pc sata to the drive right? And let the xbox 360 power it? can you also power it by pc? My xbox 360 is already banned btw.
Sooo I need to dump the custom original firmware on the drive as backup right? And something about the dvd-key from the original drive? I heard something about jungleflasher, saw one video tut but was too unclear for me to go and try.
Could someone pleaseeeeee guide me STEP BY STEP what I should do?
I could probably figure it out by myself but I'd risk messing up the drive if I make a mistake.
Where do I get the new Ixtreme firmware for this drive I am using?
