I have a range of questions that I can't seem to google or find, and I was hoping some people could answer them for me please.
1. I'm going to use my Xbox 360 to power my DVD Drive. Do I turn on the Xbox 360, plug the AV Cables into the TV, and while the Xbox 360 is on, pull out the power cable to the DVD drive and plug it back in ? (This is while the DVD Drive is still screwed into the Xbox 360 motherboard). So is it alright if I do that ?
2. My Mod shop is going to give me my Xbox 360's DVD Key, the thing is, I want to verify its actually mine, so, how do I go about verifying it without jumping the gun and erasing my Xbox 360's DVD Drive ?
3. I think I have a Xbox 360 game in my DVD Drive, and my Xbox 360 is all pulled apart, does it matter if I flash my DVD Drive with a game still in there ? Or best to take it out, then turn off my Xbox 360, then turn it back on. Like reset everything so everything is perfect when I flash my DVD Drive.
4. I don't need to actually plug the AV cables into the TV do I ? I just to have the plug connected to the Xbox 360 right ?
1. Recommended to buy a CK3 or equivalent power adapter. You can however use your 360 to power the drive. Yes, you have to have the A/V cable plugged into the back of the 360. It doesn't matter if the other end is connected to a TV or not. You can pull the 360's dvd drive out without unplugging it from the motherboard.
2. It really depends on the drive model you have. If it's a Samsung or Benq, you're in luck. LT2.0+ will be released for hitachi model drives soon. If you have a lite-on, and have updated, then you'll either need to get a probe or get the maximus lizard.
3. Just take the game out to be sure. You don't have to assemble the 360 to get power to the drive to eject it.

My Modshop flashed my Lite On drive (9**** version) a while ago, was LT 1.1 I believe (the one that ignored the Wave numbers of the games). And I asked them can I have my DVD Key a week ago, and so tommorow they will give it to me. Note I am on 12**** Dashboard (came from the Deus Ex Game - dashboard update). So when I get my "dummy.bin" off them, is there a way I can verify that the key matches my DVD Drive, maybe through Jungle Flasher ? The whole point I'm getting the DVD key off of them is so I don't have to dump the key from the dvd drive myself.
