Hi All,
Quick question,
I have an old white version of the 360 which I modded some time ago with the Iextreme (think it was 1.3 or summat)firmware I believe (bit vague as its been years).
I havent used it for ages as I now have a slim and just play origs on it.
I now wish to revert this back to stock firmware, but dont think I have the keys anymore.
Is there an easy way to get this back to stock? It's not banned or anything and I just want to be able to play my originals without it being banned. Not been on live since they started banning years ago so its deffo ok.
I was wondering if I just stick the latest dashboard on it if I download it, would that do it (think I read somewhere that MS now flash it back), but been out of the game far too long.
Thanks in advance.

yeah a newer original will flash it back to stock.. eg Madden 12
Make sure you use an original not a backup or you will get stuck...

Better yet, just download the update from xbox.com and update via USB.

I have a xbox that has the E66 error, am I pretty much screwed from ever getting on xbox live again, or would an update from the disc of a new game set me back to the stock and allow me on? I'm pretty sure I'm screwed but worth a shot.

Thanks peeps. Once back to stock I presume I could upgrade to a Gold account and play online with no problems (wont get banned as its back to a standard console?
Do all newer games do this update or is it just some?
Thanks again :)

i would not just connect the 360 and let microsoft flash it to stock firmware if its already been flashed to lt...(whatever you think it is)This might flag you for a ban if you want to go online. If you have all the kit i would personally extract the dvd key file/backup and then install the original.bin file for your particular drive.

Thanks Richie,
When I did it years ago, I had to open it all up then connect the DVD drive to my PC.
Is there an easier way of doing this nowadays? Dont really wanna open it back up as I am busy with other things....Dont mind buying a bit of kit if its available.
Thanks again.

This all depends on whether you got flagged or not. Even an unmodded console might get banned because it was flagged during the time it was modded.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Hi Headworx6 sorry to say you would have to go through the whole process of opening your drive again to flash the dvd drive.Depending on setup.ie desktop with compatable sata card or onboard sata connector,or laptop running a cki x360usb or pro and depending on which drive you have in the 360 a probe to extract the dvd key to spoof your drive.Have a look at the jungleflasher website and either download the tutorial or read through online. It will tell you everything you need and how to set it up and also the whole process of how to flash the drive.Feel free to ask for more info.

Yeah I read earlier that some newer games are able to flash your console back to stock.
I wouldn't rely on that method as your first option if you want to play online though as there is potential for being flagged!

Just remember always revert back to stock firmware first ie.its original firmware, then go on live, update to the latest dashboard for your xbox, then reflash to the latest firmware.Dont use the xbox power supply to power up the dvd drive when flashing, this could also potentially raise or flag the 360 for a ban.Its not proven to do so but the experts and forums suggest using a molex power supply or a molex connector which you will have spare inside your pc tower. If your flashing via a laptop then have a look for the x360usb,ck3i and probe 3.These you can buy as a bundle from most modding websites.
