Hi all

I have an XBOX 360 with a Hitachi 78 drive which I have softmodded with LT v2 (only thing available at the time). I have purchased a Kinect and tried to use it last night but I need to upgrade my dashboard to a later version which in turn means i will have to upgrade my LT version to 3. My dashboard is currently version 2.0.13599.0

My question is this, what is the process for upgrading my console.

Flash drive back to stock with my drive key
upgrade dashboard to latest version
flash drive back to LT v3

Or am i missing something? Is it safe to do this as I have heard of some dashboards blocking you from flashing the drive back to custom firmware.

Yes, you are missing something. Only the 13146 update flashed you back to stock. All you need to do is update the dashboard. You can flash back to stock for security reasons and then flash the drive again, but you don't need to.

PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
