Alright hello everybody,i have an xbox 360 it was soft modded(not by me i got it done from a shop) so a few days ago i messed up and got in an update loop which i was able to fix but that landed me back to the stock and official firmware,so i was reading on how to softmod it myself (as long as there is no soldering involved i can try to do it myself)right then i read someone mentioning the term jtag and then i read a lot of comments going on and on about jtag and the reset glitch hack,so i just want to be clear on this does getting my xbox jtagged or rgh allow me to play iso format games and xbla games directly from a normal external hdd or a pendrive?also what would be the appropriate price for a person to ask to jtag/rgh my console.or if someone coulc give me a an easy enough tutorial on how to jtag/rgh my console myself that would be great to.thanks in advance.
You are on a dashboard too high for a JTAG, which means your only mentioned option would be the RGH. But you also say you can't solder, so that means doing it yourself is out of the question. Also you need additional hardware for it. Here in Germany shops take 100 to 120 Euro (approx. 140 to 170 USD) for the RGH. I personally wouldn't let a shop do something with my console I can't do myself, because if it has to be redone or modified I have to pay them again.
Just check which drive you have and how to flash it, all drives from Phat consoles can be flashed without soldering, but depending on what drive you have you might have to PMT to get the key (if the guy who flashed your console before didn't give it to you).
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Thanks for the quick reply and sorry for my late reply,120 euros is seriously a high price, thankfully in my country i have found a Guy who will do it for the equavilant of 50 euros,I'm really tired of playing games from the DVD rom on the so i think i will go for the reset glitch hack,I'm not exactly sure which DVD drive i have maybe its a lite on,do you think the reset glitch hack is a good idea?currently my examinations are going on as soon they are finished i will concentrate all my attention on the 360 ,thanks again,i will let you know what i finally decide.
ok i made my decision and got my xbox rgh'd its been a few days since and and it took me some time to understand how to put games on my xbox 360s harddisk but now everythings great and I'm even able to save a lot of space since i convert my xbox 360 iso's to god(games on demand)format im still new to this jtag/rgh thing but so far im really liking it and Eisherz thanks for the help and advice u gave me really appreciate it.i will update this thread one last time after thoughrly testing my new rgh'd xbox 360.
