Xbox 360 reads games as DVD's

Hello first off I would like to state that I searched google to no avail. I just received an xbox 360 which I purchased on ebay. It was jtagged and it red ringed. I fixed the red ring. So I decided to start testing it out to make sure it all works right. It starts up. Can load games from the hdd. Everything seems to work except the dvd drive. Every game I put it trys to play as a dvd. Now from my research this can be caused by 2 things. A dirty lens or a bad dvd drive flash in which the dvd key was improperly set. I have read how to read the drive to check what the current dvd key is but my problem is I dont know the original key or what it should be or how to find it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

dump the nand, you will get both the dvd and cpu keys!

Ok I have the dvd key check the drive and the key is good in the drive so Im thinking the drive is faulty. Im replacing the drive. Original drive is Samsung. Replacement is Hitachi. Im using jungleflasher. So Im replacing the dvd key. Do I also need to spoof the drive type?

Hey, I also have the exact same problem. What did you do to make it work?
I extracted the dvdkey with jungleflash. Then flashed that key to a replacement dvd drive. Then replaced the drive with the new drive.
