Wow! That guy did nothing but confuse you. I see your problem, and there is a very simple solution. The 3 files you downloaded are .rar files. You need to take each one of those .rar files and put them into a folder, once all the .rar files are in the folder double click one of them. It should open up and the .iso will be inside. Extract, or just drag it to your desktop(it will take a minute) then add that .iso file to your hard drive with wbfs. If you need help with wbfs just ask.

He's a great guy, I'm just stuck and maybe making it worse...Anyway, so I got my 5 files, moved them to one file on my desktop, right clicked on the first rar file and not only didn't it make me an ISO, but it opened up 95 smaller rar files! I tried to run it through PowerISO but you onlt get 300MB free, I don't mind paying if it's what I need to do can you offer me advice what I'm doing wrong? I'm not brain-dead, I know how to do things like right click and open a zip file and I can follow simple instructions! Also, I can rip and burn with anyone, so once I can turn one stupid download into an ISO, I'm set
Cheers

Mate you need to calm down and explain ONLY what is being asked....You are giving us wayyyyy too much info that we don't really need like your wireless and TIVO... it just gives me and the other people a headache of having to read so much stuff. Like Wissel said earlier. From what you have been typing back and forth... i can kind of understand the following situation...
You have downloaded a game but by doing so it had downloaded it in 3 parts (3 rars files) right?!?!
If so then select all the right click and select to unzip or unrar into a folder of whatever the file is called (if this is too confusing for u then unrar into here.
Then if will either unrar it to more rar files or it will unrar it to an ISO.
Sometimes people like to compress a file and then recompress it again so you have to uncompress (unrar a file) like 2 or 3 times. If you get rar files again once you did the first process then repeat the same process... select all of the rar files you got (the new ones) and select unrar or uncompress here.
This then will definatly give u an IOS file.
Also what program are you using to run your games? (Meaning what program that is in your wii are you using to play your games)?? I'm assuming you have your hardrive connected to you wii right?? Is it USB Loader GX, CFG USB Loader, Neogamma???
Depending on what program it is it might be slightly different. And I don't think the guy who modded your wii has put a password on your games, I just think you don't know much about modding that you have no clue what you are talking about (NO OFFENCE) soft modding means when all they do is moddify your wii by installing a software. And hardmodding means installing a Mod chip and opening your wii and soldering it inside.
Anyways if you have all your games in your HDD then like again Wissel said you need to download a program called WBFS and do what he said.
Then you can add your IOS games through that program.
Hope this has explained more. If you still can't understand I suggest you go to youtube and watch some videos on how to do it because I don't think it could be explained more simpler... or else find another dude that can show u step by step on how to do it. IT's not difficult just takes practice to remember thats it.

Hey my friend,
Thanks for your reply. I'm calm brother but everyone will get frustrated sooner or later if you tell them they're doing something wrong when the instructions are "right-click/extract here"...If it was nearly that simple you'd never have seen my name on this board. As I said in my very first post I spent many, many hours trying to work this out on my own watching a dozen youtube vids (most loaded by 13 yr old English boys Einstein couldn't follow), I read countless articles, tons of posts here and DL'd every iso freeware suggested (they max out at 300MB or again, I wouldn't be here). Results have been the same. I used to repair the F15 Eagle Jet Fighter in the US Air Force when I was just 18, you may assume I'm a pretty smart guy at 47, one very good at following instructions. If I tried to tell you how to calibrate the inertial navigation system of an F16 Falcon, your head would explode, but it's easy for me. Nothing is easy until you know how to do it, then it's only "easy" for you. So, to answer your questions to the best of my ability: I'm pretty sure mine is soft-modded, but not positive. I saw him work on it using a lappie and a 2 gig card still installed in the front of my Wii. He took it home but that was probably to load 400 game files. No way he had 900 Gigs of games on his piece of crap lappie I had to loan him icepacks to keep it from overheating while he worked. I do indeed have a one terabyte external HD. I have Homebew/Neogamma and USB Loader 1.1 Wanininkoko and J. Wii DVD Dumper Clos 1.2, I've loaded commercial games in that myself. Every coaster I've made so far failed, probably because I've yet to create a clean ISO. So, here is what's happening, when I take a game file, say with 5 rar files, and right click "here", it makes 90 more files, about 30 are more smaller rar files, 60 more are named r30/r31/r32 and so on. These have a white paper for an icon. The first file it created has a tiny blue and white circle, just a 1kb file that says "system information". I assumed not to right click on that and chose the first zip file correct? I then right click again on the first rar file it created and load "here" again to further extract. That took a few minutes, when it was done I saw nothing further, no ISO popped up on my desktop, it didn't make more rar files "here", so whatever the second process did, I either don't know where the results went or know what to do next as I have no ISO and no new rar files to extract. Would you be so kind and tell me what's next? I'm sure I've done nothing "wrong" but I see no evidence that I've made an ISO and I don't see any more unzipping I need to do, the 2nd zip went through it's cycle as I watched the bar building, when it hit 100% it just disappeared. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Oh, I might mention the first zip file created by my second "unzip" is huge, 4.37 gigs, I assume the full size of the game, then about 91 files of 48,829KB. If I right click and view properties on the "huge" first file, the file type says winrar archive (iso) so I'm betting that's the one we want next, yes? If so, do I do a third unzip on that file? I'd think it was just the complete contents of the 91 or so 48,829kb files we already unzipped.

First of all it's not a good idea to patronice people mate. Secondly people here are already getting annoyed at you because they have given you countless amounts of simple solutions and steps on how to solve your problem but you still either don't get it or are missing a step or are explaining yourself not correctly. Also just because you used to fix fighter pilots it does not mean you will automatically get the technical things of what were are talking about here (like modding , softmodding, etc). It's 2 totally different things and if you think I am wrong than obviously you have no idea what your talking about. People are already getting annoyed with you they just don't want to waste their time telling you that. Anyways back to your problem. It seems we either don't quite get what you are trying to do and or you don't understand what our instructions are. It is very simple sometimes to miss a step or not understand something.... it doesn't mean your dumb it just means that you might need to be shown how it's done before you can understand what we are telling you to do.
In your comments you oviously don't know what you are talking about.... when you talk about "no way he had over 900GB of games on his crap lappie"... Did you know that you most games if stripped of the empty space that they have in the disk end up being about 1.5GB and not 4.5 like the DVD says it is.... Secondly this makes no sense " I've loaded commercial games in that myself. Every coaster I've made so far failed, probably because I've yet to create a clean ISO. So which one is it.... you were able to install games into your HDD that is connected to your wii or you just have coasters!?!?
The 2GB card that is in your wii is for the programs (like usb loader Neogama and so on) if you don't have the card inside the wii when you want to load a game it won't work. Neogama is used to load games from a DVD and USB stick. USB Loader is used to run games from a DVD, a HDD m USB stick and also to install games automatically (basically you insert a disk and it will tell you do you want to install this game and press yes).
OK now back to your problems with the RAR files. Like I explained before.... sometimes people like to compress the game or file or whatever 2 or 3 times. So this is why when you right click here it will uncompress it to smaller files. If you get a white file (just select to open the file with winrar) and then it should start uncompressing it and give you an IOS file. If after all of this it you can't get it to work then I'm sorry mate but I am out of ideas on how to explain it to you in a much simpler way and the only way anyone could help u out is by being at your place and looking at what is going on. Also it might just be that the file you downloaded it crap and just rubbish.... alot of sites sometimes upload crap and maybe you just had some bad luck.
Some games are over 4.5 GB so don't worry too much about that. And like wiseel said... the only thing you have to worry about updating is your wii firmware... if a nintendo message comes up and says a new firmware is ready to update do you want to update?!?! CLICK NO STRAIGHT AWAY or else you will wipe out all the modding done to your wii.
If it asks you to update online homebrew channel or neogama or USB loader or any program like that then its pretty safe to do so....unless you screw it up by the power shorting out or turning off the wii while its updating.

Ok, I hear ya. Think you misunderstood me, of course I recognize working on Jet Fighters and downloading a file are different, I was merely letting you know I'm lucid enough to follow simple instructions like "right click/extract here". I meant no disrespect but the first thing you said to me before we'd ever spoken was you told me to calm down and I was giving you a headache. If you slam newbies, you just make them feel stupid for asking and that's not the spirit I've seen here on Afterdawn. I post here because folks are like me, courteous and willing to help, not like many other sites where the more experienced users flame newbies.
You have my word, I will extend you the same good manners you afford me.
Now, to answer your question: I have been able to load both commercial discs and burned discs into my Wii using the loader. I got the full version of Poweriso and figured out how to add virtual drives so I can test my "rips" before I burn any more. I'm going to load a new file to see if your hypothesis is correct and maybe the file is bad. I think I'm supposed to format the virtual drive, I'll google that info.
I really am very thankful for your help

Don't why people come here telling crap for other people to spend their money on when they can easily do it for free.
Now back to the problem Wyattspot is having.... I have no idea why you are even using PowerIso?!?! Who told you to use that program?!? Format the Virtual Drive!?! A virtual drive is a fake drive so how and why would you format it?!?
Just use a program like Nero to do your burning. You can also do a test burning with Nero to see if it burns correctly but doing this does not guarantee that you will not get a coaster (Bad burn) when you actually do the real burning.
Loading commercial disks and burned disk is simple enough to do as all you do is stick the disk in and let the wii (and program) do all the work.
I'm still interested to know what exactly you are doing with the RAR files that is making it so difficult to extract.

that is the main problem he is having, extracting to get the iso.once we have it just use imgbrn. Power iso is not needed to create an iiso as winrar extracts the iso once successful . The only programmes you need are winrar, imgburn ( on pc) and neogamma on your wii

Exactly, IMGBURN in another good program to use (besides Nero). I'm still confused as to what he is really using to play his games?!?! DVDs or a HDD or both?!?

If he is burning DVDs then putting it into his Wii so he can rip them into his HDD then he is wasting DVDs and time. If he is using DVDs to burn games and play them, again why does he need a HDD and why did he mention about it. It's all in jumbles what he is saying and does not explain himself properly which makes it hard for me and other people to help him out with. > <

Thank you for being so civil Vato, takes a big man to slow your roll, and most men under the age of 35 are incapable of it (I'm 47) My highest marks.
Ok, so I don't waste any more of your time I'll try to be brief and to the point. I've DL'd 2 different copies of this game, one from Pirate B, the other, Mega. No matter how I do it, if I follow the basic instructions, take a 4.7 gig with 5 rars and right click on the first one (extract here), I then get 95 files, still in rar form. Then I right click on the first rar of the 95 files,(first 30 are rar, 65 are the white file r31/r32 etc) and it processes, when finished I still don't get an ISO, I only get an error message saying "archive unknown or damaged". All kidding aside, I'm at my wits end, and I'm a patient guy. To respectfully answer you, I resorted to the other methods you alluded to because all the "traditional" ones have failed and I'm just using what methods I've found on youtube, poweriso, magic, daemon lite 'cause I never quit until I succeed, ever. I've got 50 bucks to buy this, now I'm doing it out of pure determination, like my old granny always said "if you can't master the little things in life without giving up, you'll never succeed at the hard ones". Sorry, said I would be brief. All I can even guess now is maybe by downloading all these stupid proggies, I've unwittingly "associated" the work to one of their functions by default, but it doesn't explain why I failed before. Here's an idea, can you direct me to one known-good game so I'm 100% certain it's not a bad DL I'm fighting with? I don't care if it's Bert and Ernie go fishing as long as I know the file is good, at least I will have that possibility off the table. Meanwhile, I'll get rid of all the extra proggies I loaded up.
I completely understand there's not much more you can do without physically seeing my system to find the error (I promise I know how to open a zipped file, rar or winzip), trouble is I don't have any friends who know more about puters than I, (scary right?) I raise a little boy and work on my PC at home, my friends are all old bartenders, waiters or my ebay clients
My fond regards

I use a terabyte HDD, I only used the loader to add the remainder of my commercial discs. When I picked up the drive, he gave me one home-burned disc, so I know my setup can handle discs. Tong and I were going to use a disc because I only had a blank 4 gig flash drive, you need 4.7, and we were only attempting the one game (6 beautiful Verbatims in the trash later).

what we need is the iso then i think burn to disc and play thru neogamma is the easiest solution for now, as i know he has neogamma installed as a channel

OK this is the last time I will try to explain how to do this. I'm getting tired of reading your essays and what your granma says and that you have $50 dollars. We can all live without that, it just makes more reading. If you can't take what I am saying and critisism then too bad you should not come here, sorry to sound harsh but it's getting to the point that we are all thinking you obviously have no idea what you are doing.... (I know I do).
Anyways enough of that this is what you do with the RAR files.
1. Select all (AND I MEAN SELECT ALL!!!!) right click and click on "Extract to ....."
2. It will then Extract it to a folder with the name of the RAR file.
3. Go into this folder and then you will see more RAR files.
4. Select all the RAR files and right click again and click "Extract to....."
5. This will then create another folder with a different name.
6. Go into this folder , here you should find the ISO file.
If you can't follow this simple steps and can't get it to work. I am sorry but I am tired of repeating myself and I will not explain anymore.
This is a simple process that is not rocket science and most people can do. I have gotten stuff of pirate bay many times and yet am to come across a RAR file that I cannot uncompress or have problems with.
All games work there and if they don't or are crap take some time to read the comments.
Good luck with it and hope it works for you.

Exactly, IMGBURN in another good program to use (besides Nero). I'm still confused as to what he is really using to play his games?!?! DVDs or a HDD or both?!?
If you are using DVDs then use Neogamma. If you use a HDD (where all your games are) then use programs like USB Loader GX or CFG USB Loader. Until now he has not told us exactly what he is using or wanting to use. He said USB Loader...which one ...
I use a terabyte HDD, I only used the loader to add the remainder of my commercial discs. When I picked up the drive, he gave me one home-burned disc, so I know my setup can handle discs. Tong and I were going to use a disc because I only had a blank 4 gig flash drive, you need 4.7, and we were only attempting the one game (6 beautiful Verbatims in the trash later).
you may be able to use the flash drive if you want to test the iso before burning, if you use config usb loader or any usb loader to launch the game on the wii. just download wbfs manager format your flash drive with that program and then load your iso. it will not be the full 4.37gb it will only transfer over the game data. for instance new super mario bros is a 4.37gb disc but when put on a flash drive it is around 400mb. that way you could test the iso before burning or just play it from the flash drive burning to a disc.

I think telling him this will make him more confused. I don't think he knows how to put an ISO game or a WFBS game into his HDD (which I figured from the previous posts he typed ) as he was saying he doesn't know what the guy who modded his wii did and that he thinks a password was put to the HDD > < I suggests he sticks to making DVDs and then ripping them to his HDD. He could use rewritable DVDs so he won't have to waste anymore DVDs. It's a long process but better than not knowing what to do and wasting a lot of time I guess.

Sorry if I missed this but I assume this guy is uncommpressing to an NTFS formatted drive (not FAT32 - 4GB file limit) ??

What I meant was that if the resulting decompressed file from the compressed RAR files is a 4.37GB Wii iso file, then it needs an NTFS formatted drive. FAT32 will give an error.
Just making sure that this issue was gotten out of the way before addressing other potential problems....
PS I don't think I saw a reference to the file system in the thread (then again I might have missed it :~

Yes I know.
But I'm pretty sure that Winrar can give you an "archive unknown or damaged" error message because if the drive is FAT32 only an incomplete (corrupt) 4GB ISO is produced (4.37GB cannot fit on FAT32).
I think we should find out his file system...
