Like you said... NOT bad for what it is... ;) IIRC the SHW-160P6S is a little more "harsh" in reading the scans than the A1X series. So if you get a good read with it then you're doing something. You find any movies lately that are purchase worthy?? Been on the hunt but it seems the little lady isn't saying yay or nay on much.. of course P.S. I Love You is on the list.... Better get to me nearest Wally-World and pick it up. ;)

Don't forget National Treasure 2 (Family) and for the wife Mad Money.
Just remember if you back up a couple of Chick Flicks you gotta clean out the drive and the system with a good clean movie, like 300, Blackhawk Down, or A Clockwork Orange. Prevents your system from having one of those "moodswings".
I recommend the 2007 Red Sox Championship Season Highlights for my buddy in Cincy, pushes away those early season blues.
By the way, my P160 sticks from time to time upon ejection, anyone have any ideas?

A good blow job might help... ;) If that doesn't do the trick you might need to look at some sort of "grease" for the eject tray mechanism... ;) Other than that a NEW drive will fix those "sticking" problems... heheeh. :D

I did buy a new drive a while ago, the 160 is connected via USB 2.0 and use it to rip from time to time.

Whatever you do don't do "The Sound of Music"! The mood swings become permanent then! LOL!!
On the drive not ejecting all the time! Question! Does you case have spring loaded doors for the optical drives? If not loosen up the screws that hold the drive or release the tooless lock if you have that type and see if it ejects. I've seen that before!

Russ

That's just wrong Russ!!! The Sound of Music is a great movie and smooth out anything that ails you... ;) NOW if you really wanna give your system a boost... try "Mary Poppins" and see what happens.. :)

Blake Edward's S.O.B. is one of my favorite Julie Andrews movies, aside from her being topless, it's hysterical to boot.
I've pulled the drive apart and I think it is something in the gears, perhaps worn or out of alignment, sometimes have to poke the emergency release with a pin.
