You'll have to be a bit more specific than 'repair crap' for me to give you any advice about that!
That delivery time's pretty good for the US, though IIRC newegg have a depot in california? So it's only within state. Typically, orders in the UK arrive within about 18 hours, but that's a much smaller country! My record is 11 hours, from ordering at 10pm and getting the delivery at 9am. Few sites will do that though!
Sam,
I'm talking about whatever it is that decides that you need a repair. I mean, why should I need a repair? The computer works perfectly with XP-Pro. The second time I had 7 on my computer it was in dual boot, done by M$'s own tutorial, and software. When 7 gave me the repair deal I just switched to XP all the time, by selecting it in the boot manager. After about two months, I didn't catch the boot manager in time and lo and behold, Win7 was working again. How can that be, unless Micro$oft was doing something to my Win7 without my knowledge. It lasted about a month and then told me that I needed to run the repair program, which so far has a .000 Batting average with me at fixing anything. I wasted a couple of hours, for it to tell me it couldn't fix the problem, like it always does. Maybe that's why my customer told me to keep it when he found out the cost of a new screen, and the parts he broke dropping on the screen end with it open. Problem with it is it will run XP, but you can only find about half of the drivers needed. I have a DVD that Will gave me with over 800,000 drivers, and I've yet to find anything that will work. This is one of those that you supposedly couldn't convert to XP. The did outlaw them and they no longer make them, but The manufacturer was required to only make future ones work. Everyone else got screwed! The only way laws get Grandfathered in is if there's some money involved that usually winds up in the politicians pockets!
Best Regards,
Russ

I've only had a bad boot manager once in my two years of running 7. Using the fix utility worked fine for me...

You can on most MB's turn it off in the BIOS/CMOS setup which would be your best bet. However you can try this:
Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Task Scheduler In Task Scheduler, expand "Task Scheduler Library" in the upper left corner. Next, expand "Microsoft", then "Windows". Select "DiskDiagnostic" from the list. You should now see two items in the top middle frame. The second item, "Microsoft-Windows-DiskDiagnosticResolver", is responsible for reporting drive errors. You can either disable it or configure it to run less frequently than every logon.

I know how that goes. I suffer the curse of being overly analytical. It's not uncommon for me to spend 4 hours just playing with my case wiring or 2 hours playing a game and the next 10 modding it. It's my weekend hobby :S Track of thought? What's that?

Oman7,
I have no idea how that happened. We had to go grocery shopping last night, and I never saved the post. I just shut down the computer and the PSU as always. I do not run any computer without someone being home, ever! Call me paranoid if you like, but I'll bet most people have never walked into a room just as the drapes burst into flames from a bad PSU.
Anyway, when I turned the computer back on, and went to AD, I had been previewing the post to Sam, to make a change when I shut the computer down, and apparently it saved the preview, because that's what popped up on the screen! I had no idea it could do that! Anyway, it's fixed. I still don't know how I got both quotes!

Oman7,
The amazing thing is I didn't panic. I got burned a little, but fortunately the room had a shower and bathroom in it. I dumped the burning drapes in the shower and turned on the water. I didn't even realize that I had been burned until it started to hurt, a bit later. Had it happened 10 minutes later, the house would have burned to the ground as it's all wood.

I'm going to wait until tonight to install my new Motherboard and memory as it's getting pretty warm out, and very humid. I'll have a much easier time with doing it if it's cooler out, as it's only in the 60s at night. Besides, my friend Dave will be here, so I'll have a little help. It takes me too long all by myself, as I can only work about 10 minutes before I have to sit down and rest for 15-20 minutes. LOL!!

N_3_Days,
I'm sure there is a big difference since the 990XA is 2011 tech and the 790x is 2008 tech. I'm really looking forward to it.

Shaff,
The difference is about 2% of the total bandwidth between the 9x1600 and the slower 7x1333 memory at stock speed.

I must admit, AMD do well and truly run from the nvidia book of customer confusion for chipsets. I have a pretty solid idea what chipset sits where in the product line as far back as Intel's 800 series for theirs, but AMDs are just completely baffling, with the vast array of southbridges used with the same northbridge, and tiny specification changes.

Ha ha russ. I beat you to it :p It is informative. I just hope it's accurate. Some people seem to think Wiki doesn't post the right information. Everything I've ever seen seemed to be accurate though.

It's not totally correct and that is typical of Wiki. For example I have the 880G-SB850 set and have PATA which Wiki say it doesn't exist. I don't have a seperate PATA controller chip so it has to be handled by my chipset. I also have a 1394 & FDD port but that isn't handled by the chipset and is handled by add-on chips like the ITE IT8720 & the T.I. TSB43AB23. Also I have seperate chips for Audio, SATA 2 and USB 3 (D720200).
More so my point would be that chipsets alone do not dictate all of your features on a given mainboard and you really have to look at the manufatures spec's to see the differences between platforms, of course.
