Well, Now I'm having this issue for the second time. My 360 turns off the display suddenly, with leaving it's power and controller light on. The controller button remains on even if I turn the controller off. If I press the power button, if won't turn off. Then I have to unplug it to turn off. I turn it on again. Turns on the power light but no display no sound. No disk tray out. Unplug and rest 10 mins. Now, it's turns on normally. then same all happens after 5 minutes.Turns off the display and all that.
I've encountered this before. I have to repair. It did well for somedays. But now it starts all again. I don't really want to pay for something I absolutely didn't caused. At least for the second time. Any help would be really appreciated.
Note:
1/ Console is well ventilated.
2/ Power supplies are OK.
Do the ventilators still spin when the console freezes? The console working again after around 10 minutes makes me think it could be something heat related (but I could be totally wrong here).
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
Well, it spins for like 30 seconds. Then they goes off. It's really hard to see my xbox full functioning and temporarily functioning. I really need help!!
I also figured that i may be some heat effect. But 2 hours of rest should be enough for a xbox to cool down. Now, if I power up my console after 2 hours, well, then it's 15 minutes of up time. Then all again!
If the fans don't work the Xbox 360 gets hot realy fast, about 5 minutes or so and it automatically shuts down. But normally it does a red ring then, it doesn't just freeze. It still might be worth a try to clean everything with compressed air and/or switch the fans for some others.

Basically, I opened my xbox few months ago. And cleaned all the dust. Well, not by compressed air, but with some brushes. Now the fans are fine. As they runs good until the system turns off. Could it be a display config problem?
Today I powered up my system(after about a whole day of not touching it), it run good for 15 minutes. I turned off after 15 minutes myself, as I really didn't wanted it to see freeze.
