i bought a 360 off of a buddy and i want to copy my downloads, gamesaves, acheivements, etc to the newer 360. but i also want to keep everything on my original. the newer 360 has 6 months of gold left and i would like to use it up. is this all possible? thanx in advance

Yes. You can use any USB flash Drive to backup/transfer, 1GB is the minimum and it must be in FAT32 format not NTFS, and just copy everything from your xbox harddrive to your flash drive. Then from your memory stick to your new 360.

The 6 months of gold left means that it's already assigned to a gamertag, you can still use that gamertag, but you can't switch that subscription to a different one. Most important, when you?re using a usb stick, make sure you backup everything on your pc first, because the xbox will need to "configure" it, in other words it formats the usb stick, and you may lose data.

Also when your copying files from the 360 to your portable flash drive, use copy, not move, using move will erase it from your original xbox.
