heya! I'm a newbie obviously...uh, I've tried a lot of different converters, but not too many of them are working too well for me. The only one that actually worked was QT pro, but it's SOOOOO SLOW, with bad quality btw. anyways, I just started using PQ DVD and it seems to be working pretty well with the video, but the sounds..off. Because ripping a DVD takes so long, I've been testing short movie trailers. Right now I'm using a Lady in the Water trailer that I got from the apple site and the video is coming along perfectly, but the sound goes for about 2 seconds and then it stops completely until the end of the trailer in which it plays for maybe the last 7 seconds. Should I try another trailer, just rip a DVD and see how that goes, or are my output settings wrong? help would be very much appreciated :)

Hey, I have the Videora Converter, and some videos that I have saved on my computer, aren't being converted. When i Start the trancoding, it takes only 2 seconds, and then finishes, but nothing happens. What can I do? This is the link to the video I want, it's a Halo 2 Video, if anyone cares..

Great thread - but i have a problem!
I'm using Cucusoft iPod conversion software to get videos and DVD's to my video iPod. It works great for all DVD's except the big movie titles like Gladiator.
What happens is that it converts great, plays in iTunes great, but when it plays on the iPod, it will frequently pause, then replay without sound. Are the movie companies adding anti-copy glitches, or am I just retarded?
I have the latest codex and direct x installed, my screen saver is turned off during conversion, fps is under 30 (24 actually during conversion) I keep the same ratio aspect as the DVD (is this the prob?) and my system is solid (service pack 2 etc.).
Any guidance you guys could provide is greatly appreciated.

I just downloaded free trial of Super iPod Video Converter (http://www.http://i'manidiot.com/video-ipod-converter/) edited by ddp and I am doing a test conversion of a mpeg file to mp4. It looks really slick and may help those who are looking for that function as well.
With the ability to convert multiple video formats to mp4 I think this one may end up to be a winner. Find the best video to iPod software from http://www.i'manidiot.com edited by ddp

I'm not so sure about this RoseGreen fellow, keeps posting that same damn message in multiple forums relating to the iPod Video. Has anyone seen him post anything else?

Hey im new to this thread and i have a problem with my ipod video. I followed all the tutorials on converting the dvd with DVD Decrypter and then using the videora converter to convert it to mp4 format. I then go into itunes and select the video which i converted and put it in there and then i update my ipod. The movie plays in itunes but when i go to view it on my ipod itself, a black screen appears for a minute and then it goes back to the main menu. The video wont play on my ipod no matter what i do. If anyone can help me out or if i need to change settings please let me kno. This has been driving me crazy. thanks.

It happened on all the movies i have tried. I tried changing settings and nothing seems to work. I even uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it to see if that would work.

I havn't encountered the problem, do you have the latest iPod software? I've had that happen on my iPod before but the screen would be black for closer to 5-10 seconds and would work after I went back to the video again. Hasn't happened in quite some time though.

I bought the full version of PQ DVD converter awhile ago and was wondering if anyone was having problems with the sound? For example, when I would play the movie on my ipod, everything would be working great, but then all of a sudden there were be a "crackle" in the headphones and the sound would get extremely quiet and then it would gradually go back to a normal sound level. Is this due to the headphones or is it the file? Has anybody else experienced this problem? Thanks for your help.

Has this happened with many videos that you have converted/watched? It could just be a one-off.

What do you mean your 'WMA`s'? WMA is a type of audio, not video..
