@scubabud

I forgot about most of the newer PC's with the built in card readers...as for the prog, there's a first and a last time for everything, right.

You got that right. I also have an external HDD for weekly back-ups along with one of my older burners, an Optorite 4x that I use with some of my left over Princo and Memorex media!

Wow, I heard those gasps all they way down here in Florida when I typed in Princo and Memorex!!! LOL I use them for "one shot, one way" burns instead of my good stuff. Believe it or not, I get good scores with them as well when burned even with my BenQ1640 but I never use that media for permanent back-ups. Please, any shots about Memorex need to be addressed to Venom! :)

@ LOCOENG

What?s even worse is that I still use it once in a while looking through all my old floppies... <G>

Some folks don't have USB 2.0 or even any front loading USB ports on their PC's.

floppies....hmmm. I quite frankly appreciate the floppies, if it wasnt for them being soooooooo slow, the rest of technology would still be flopping.

then again thats just my personal opinion

merry new years everyone

there is always a better solution
