I thought that GTA3 was in production when Driver 2 was released but im probably wrong. I just remember buying GTA2 for PS1 and on the back of the booklet there was a lil teaser of GTA3 on PS2 with some screen shots... and PS2 wasnt even out yet. Anyways Driver 2 fo sure didnt have any weapons just driving missions so i dont know about GTA copying Driver except for being 3D. GTA3 had all types of vehicles and weapons so no way is GTA a Driver clone.
Oh yea Paul if u like fighting animes u should DEFINITELY check out
YU YU Hakusho the dark tournament series, its just as good as DBZ in the way that they fight in battle arenas just like in DBZ's world martial arts tournament.
Off topic but peeps should check out Daxter on the PSP too that game is off the hook, by far the best PSP game iv played. In-game movie references like the Matrix are awsome.

Driver and GTA are both the originals, every other driving/shooting/carjacking game is a clone of them both not. Yeah Daxter looks pretty cool I have beaten all the Jak games (1-3 working on Jak X) looks cool.

I don't really care who copied who, the GTA franchise was mediocre until GTA3 anyway. I never played the Driver series on PSX, so I can't really comment on that. Driver: Parallel Lines was obviously (at least to me) a poor GTA clone. The controls, setup, and feel were identical. Again that's just my opinion. If you like the game, play away. With CD/DVD Speed scans keep in mind Liteons scan in ECC blocks of 1, BenQ burners scan in ECC blocks of 8, which means the same disc will give different scores on a BenQ and Litey. My 99's with 2 or 3 PIF's would be a 95 on a Litey, and that 95 you posted would be a 99 on a BenQ. There's a detailed article on CD Freaks explaining that whole thing. The controls from DriverPL are classic Driver controls! Besides GTA has a much more light feel the the cars.

Like I said it's an opinion. I obviously enjoy the GTA series quite a bit. DPL didn't strike me as particularly memorable.

I just beat Daxter 5 mins ago.. its short but sweet. Took me about 6 hours to complete. Anyways Bacon since ur playin Jak X, theres a thing in Daxter that allows you to connect ur PSP to Jak X and I think it will unlock a secret character or vehicle or something like that Im not sure but thought I would let u know.

Baconx who's the idiot if all you can retalliate with me is by calling me one. Maybe you should look up in the dictionary and call me a cynical bastard instead as I have a sneered belief in everything that comes out of your mouth also I can call myself a bastard as I have never known my dad yet a have a stepdad that I'll always love. Any ways GTA might of cloned parts of Driver (very unlikely) however GTA hasn't failed to come out on top every single time. As far as I'm concerned GTA rocks. And Driver sucks ass!

So your saying my burner could be over reporting the PIF blocks as it is taking 1 ECC block at a time while a scan which takes 8ECC blocks at a time can be under reporting.

Easy guys. Remember what we just talked about with people, ignorance, and conflict. People have varied opinions. I've had enough conflict on AD of late, don't want to see it spread to leisure threads. I'm not positive that Litey's will overreport errors or BenQ Drives will underreport them. That link I posted from CDRInfo actually was the link I was thinking of. I don't pretend to fully understand the ECC scanning deal. In short I think you hit the nail on the head. A Litey is less forgiving with quality scores than a BenQ. All quality scans should be taken with a grain of salt anyway.

yep i agree with tokijin we all have are own opinons i cant say ive played driver in over 5 years i still have 1+2 in my collection but they really arnt worht digging out to play
there is to much of this argueing at mo im nothing to answer as mush more whats the point when you answe the same qusetion time and time again then a newbie comes along and tell you are wrong lol
anyway kh2 this week anyone got a copy yet!!
what do we think are my star going to fast only first 10 layer along way to go lol

Yeah I don't like arguing any more than you guys do. I've been walking on eggshells all over AD lately. Some of it is my own doing. This shit is getting old quickly. I'll always take a stand against people who're clearly full of themselves or passing along BS info, but I feel like I'm fighting an all about battle against idiocy by myself. Even I can't win with those odds. Maybe it's just time to pack it in for awhile. Anyway off topic, KH2 comes out in the states Tuesday, so get your broadband connections ready.

Nah I'd asy thats about right what speed is it? Id say its about 500 milliseconds mines set at 650 I think.

I vividly remember handing in coursework 30 pages long on this subject in high school, the pain!
Nah actually Maths was the only subject I could actually do (got an A), the rest C's, D's and E's the horror.
Then came the drink, drugs and sex and now I'm a major dumbass. lol

Figures, you stoners are always good at math lol. I was looking through some DBZ pics, and I had to ask myself "Did Goku give up when things looked bleak?" No, well except for when he fought Cell. Much like a saiyan, I get stronger when pushed to the brink. See I don't even smoke weed, and I came up with that lol. The chimps have learned nothing so far, but that's the point. They won't, so don't try. Simply stand up to bozos and underhanded people, and karma will always even things out. In a lot of ways it already has.

I still havnt been able to get on TL, can't even sign in on my old account now. First it used to say "account disabled", but now its just like "username or password incorrect." That pisses me off big time, ive been reading some other forum and looks like alot of ppl have been thrown off for no reason. Question is, "What do i do?" The invitation i have will be disabled in like 5 days, just hope there'll be some spaces by then.
The Cell Saga was great, dragged on a bit though didnt it. I mean how many episodes does it take to do a Kamehameha?

FFVII, FFVIII, and FFX are the best. The rest is crap!!!!!! FFXII looks very much like vagrant story and crap, eventhough vagrant story, itself, was a great game because of gameplay and story. I CAN"T WAIT FOR FINAL FANTASY XXX.

Ah, DBZ anecdotes. I do a pretty good Vegeta impersonation if I do say so myself. ;P And yes, Tenjou Tenge is the correct way to spell it. If you're looking for english audio you're gonna want to look for Tenjou Tenge Dual Audio. They usually come in batches (ie: 1-16 etc.) of .mkv and .ogm formats. And yes as someone stated Yu Yu Hakusho has some neat fighting tourney's, and I was thinking of it myself when I posted Tenjou Tenge. However it's not a true fighting anime, it's Yu Yu Hakusho Spirit Detective. While it's still pretty neat, I never could get into it that much.
Anyway back to FF:
I recently stopped playing FFXI after a short experiment of whether I could evoke some good old memories I had when I played it 3 years ago. And the answer is a big NO. I still love the world, art design and races they created...BUT the game is just not fun for my tastes anymore. It's extremely slow-paced, and almost everything is a chore to do. It has stiff counterproductive systems that make the game a pain to play and the economy is shot. Basically one amateur review title sums it up: 99 Problems and a Glitch Ain't One! (Let's see who gets the reference.) The game is very well constructed, servers are almost always stable and there's almost no glitches in sight, but that doesn't make the game fun.
After tasting the fruit of WoW I can never go back. WoW may be bugged to hell, the servers are unstable and the people are by far more ignorant and childish (I think the average WoW player is a nearly illiterate 13 year old. No offense to any of you little one's on aD.) then in FFXI, but it's still a whole lot more FUN and accessible. I would play FFXI in a heartbeat if it had more accessible gameplay.

ToL is a pretty great game Tokijin. Thanks for introducing me to the series, been a big push forwards in terms of gameplay for me. Im always open for new and innovative games. Tell me when u get to Chapter 4, then u'll be even with me.
Personally playing Grandia III, pushed back DQVIII for the more innovative games with more innovative battle systems. Started playin Shadow Hearts III, arrived in Chicago and havnt played since.

Yes apparently I've turned into a giant dick in other threads, and I thought I was helping people. Oh well. TOL is fun, I think I'm going to get lost in it for awhile. The action/RPG hybrid can work well if pulled off, as evidenced by the Tales and Star Ocean series. I got the Jay-Z reference as well. I wish he hadn't retired, hip hop nowadays kinda blows.

Jay Z seems to have retired but theres still pretty mad airplay of his songs, and he's always got something on the mixtapes keeping Def Jam/Rocafella fresh.
Oh and WoW is World of Warcraft paul1085. Its an MMORPG for the PC, I dont really know much about it, but it seems TMACRPG does, so ask him if u want any more details.

I am buying KH2 support the Dev's man! and get the copy first :) I played the Japanese version up till you play with Sora again great game. I started playing Star Ocean: Till the End of Time but the music sucked and hte game was just plain and boring.
