Hey, Great Tutorial.

I soft-modded my box using Mech Assault and am using UnleashX (also tried EvoX). I am making my ISO directly through CloneXB. I get the ISO and burn it to a disk @ 1x speed w/ DVD Decrypter. (I have tried several different types of media). I put the disc in and it spins like its trying to read the disk, but nothing happens. I am so close, but I think maybe a setting is off? Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jman

it really does matter what kind of media you are using-diferent kinds of drives read diferent types of media. you may have tried diferent brands, but if you're using DVD+R thats the problem. instead of changing the brand, try changing to dvd-r

Sorry to bring this up again but i'm at my wits end

I picked up a Samsung SH-D162C with Kreon .81 Firmware and have no problems reading the disc or making the .ISO on my computer

What i am having problems with is getting the .ISO onto a disc

I've tried +DL and -DL and everytime the Xbox (Avalaunch) won't load the game

I've even tried durning the .DVD file like you woud a 360 game

Software i'm using is

Xbox Backup Creator to create the .iso and .dvd
CloneCD to burn
I've also tried

DVD Decrypter and Nero

I can make back ups of my DVDs no problem
But these Xbox games are driving me nuts
Sorry if this makes no sense

Please help

Thanks

try this:

to make the XISO (.ISO), use qwix: http://www.teamavalaunch.com/qwix/

use DVD Decryptor to burn the .ISO to a DVD-R - always use DVD-R media when burning xISO's. Try that, and it should work.

(when using qwix, go to "Create XISO", tick the "Local Folder" bubble, and find what folder you would like to make the xISO)

I don't have my Xbox connected to my PC
I got the Samsung SH-D162C with Kreon .81 Firmware so i wouldn't have to

no, no, no. you aren't using the FTP function in qwix, use the "Create xISO" function like i said. Once in "Create xISO", tick the "Local Folder" bubble, then choose which folder you would like to make the xISO of.

THENburn the xISO to a DVD-R using DVD Decryptor: http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/

well, obviously something is going wrong here during the burn process. did you use qwix to make the .iso? also, did you use a DVD-R?

Hey,
I finally got my dash up and running on my xbox (with help of course), but now I'm trying to copy my games i have straight onto my xbox HD. I thought that the util. was already loaded onto it, but I guess not. so can anyone assists me on how to FTP the proper files needed to do this? Also, I FTP my emulator files to my C/drive, but Don't see them either, so when I do get the right files, which drive should I be saving them to?

use xbins to download the latest DVD2XBOX software. FTP that over to wherever your "applications" folder is located, most likely in E or F, then open it up.

if you're unfimiliar with using xbins, there are plenty of guides around here...

also, when using ROMs, FTP them to wherever it says to for whichever emulator you're using.

looks like maybe a firewall problem. try allowing flash fxp/disabling your firewall, and see what happens

go into your windows firewall settings and allow it in there. you can find these if you go into control panel, then security center. also, when you install flash fxp, it should offer to enter it automatically into the firewall, you should tick that box.

hey oman, Just a question, i kinda new with all this but when you copy copy the games from you xbox to pc with the crossover cable, does it count as downloading to your computer? Its just i only have 700mb A month and i dont want to go over it!

no, it would not count. seeing as you are not using your internet service in doing this, you are simply connecting 2 computers so to speak, and transferring data-that is not downloading, so even if your ISP did know that this was going on, it would not count towards your 700mb/month download limit (which, i might add, is pretty stupid to have-you should consider changing your ISP).
