ahhhh the only psp's that will brick is if they have IC1003 on the right of the umd drive, repeat YOUR PSP WILL BRICK IF YOU HAVE A PSP WITH IC1003 WRITTEN ON THE RIGHT OF THE UMD DRIVE AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE, IF THERE IS NO WRITING ON THE RIGHT, REPEAT RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT THEN YOU ARE OK IT WILL DOWNGRADE IF YOU SEE WRITING ON THE LEFT THAT IS HALF HIDDEN IT IS OK REPEAT IT IS OK IT WILL DOWNGRADE AS I HAD WRITING ON THE LEFT AND IT WAS HALF HIDDEN AND IT SAID IC9001 IT DID NOT BRICK IC9001 WILL NOT BRICK, WILL NOT BRICK IF YOU HAVE IC1003 WRITTEN ON THE RIGHT IT WILL BRICK AS IC1003 IS TA-082 IC1003 WILL BRICK ANYTHIGN ELSE WILL NOT.

Yeah you can downgrade with a 32MB stick.
Just download the Easy Downgrader from PSP-Hacks and you're ready to go.
(But make sure your PSP is compatible with the downgrader first)

I dont think it matters which one you use. They should be the same
But I used an EBOOT when I upgraded to 2.00 and downgraded, not sure about the 2.6 downgrader though.
But you can download EBOOTS from the downloads/firmware section of PSP-Hacks

i have a factory 2.5 firmware psp that i just purchased - but this tutorial states that the version 2.5 /2.6 has to be an updated version - what do i do???

Update it to firmware 2.6 first.
If you have a TA-082 mobo you can't downgrade, if you dont just use the Easy Downgrader to downgrade

the mobo is fine its IC6001 so no probs on the download page it says
'Your PSP CANNOT be a factory 2.50/2.60 PSP! It had to have been updated once before from a previous version or the downgrader will not work, thus a brick'
if i update my factory v2.5 to v2.6 then run 'Easy 2.50/2.60 Downgrader' will this result in bricking my psp or a successful downgrade?

ok i am havenig a problem with my psp. I AM TRYING TO DOWNGRADE MY PSP RIGHT NOW AND AT THE BEGINING OF THE PROCESS IT ASKED ME TO PUT IN A UMD GTA FOR THE PSP BUT I DO NOT HAVE THAT GAME SO I PUT IN MX VS. ATV AND AFTER THAT IT ASKED ME TO PLUG IN MY AC ADAPTER. AND AFTER THAT! IT ASKED TO GO ON THE DOWNDATE TEST OPTION ON GTA BUT I DO NOT HAVE THAT GAME AND I ALREADY PLUGED IN MY AC ADAPTER SO I IF I UNPLUG I WILL BREAK MY PSP RIGHT? WHAT DO PLEASE HELP ME ANSWER FAST PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!

you are trying to downgrade your 2.5/2.6 psp without gta lcs, you need gta lcs to downgrade as it as a exploit in it which loads the eloader which then you can downgrade,oh right, you are using the easy downgrader, ok yeh you need the game gta lcs to downgrade otherwise you wont be able to

yeh there is only one downgrader for 2.5 and 2.6's and you need gta lcs

you can find a full package of the downgrader with all the files you need on psp-hacks.com jsut find the downgrader news and then it should give link to the forums part and it will have the full package for download, thats where i got mine but i can't rememebr the link.

well i did know someone with a 1.5 psp but all the files you needed from a 1.5 psp came in the downgrader i downloaded, this is the easy downdater http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/605 which will show you how to downgrade and i think it comes with all the 1.5 files you need but if not i have them and will upload them for you.
