[quote][quote=nikki7luc]Hi, I'm pretty new to this and i am doing this for my son.
Basically i have done all the update and put HENC DEVLAUNCHER etc onto his psp i have also downloaded a cso file lego starwars for him but i am a bit stuck when i get to the part 2 guide do i have to format the ms on the psp again BEFORE loading the iso/cso file into the iso folder? or do i just load it straight to the iso folder already in the psp from the downgrade to fw 1.50?
Would appreciate some help
Many thanks
Chris

Maybe this will help.

1. Take UMD out of UMD drive (if there is one in)
2. Boot HenC
3. Boot Devhook (choosing firmware 2.71 **not the flash version)
4. Select ISO/CSO you want to play, then press start.
5. There should be a red anime screen.
6. Insert any UMD (other than a movie)
7. scroll over to where the UMD is accesible. There should be a picture for your iso. Just click it and it should play the ISO. (in your case a CSO)

P.S. i cant believe im a 13 year old helping a dad :)

You may be a 13 tear old but you are a star!!!
It works and i have been playing the star wars game myself (how bad is that at 41!)but my lad will love it.
Can i just say thank you very much for helping me out i would not have figured this out in a month of sundays.
lol no problem, my grandma who is 87 plays my nintendo Wii (bowling is her favorite) so it is all good. What is a month of sundays? (must be an old person term lol) *not that im calling you old * heheehehhe

Okay could someone help me out.

I flashed no problem and now I am emulating 1.5.

My problem is that I CANNOT RUN DEVHOOK 0.4X (FOR 2.71). It says game could not start error.

I can only run DEVHOOK 0.4x which people are saying dont run, that why it was removed later on from the package.

So I run the 0.4x and select my Lumines ISO and then go NOUMD (tried with UMD). And I see the UMD icon, go over it and see the game! Lumines is showing, abit stationary image, but showing.

So I go to run Lumines and then it says game could not start.

WHY AM I NOT ABLE TO RUN DEVHOOK (for 2.71)????

thanks

this should work for your devhook, why not get the latest and new devhook?

1. Take UMD out of UMD drive (if there is one in)
2. Boot HenC
3. Boot Devhook (choosing firmware 2.71 **not the flash version)
4. Select ISO/CSO you want to play, then press start.

Do I have to start over for this? Meaning do I hardboot first and go back to 2.71? Or do this when Im at 1.5?

Also which Devhook do I choose? The one for 2.71, or Devhook0.4x??

Which one is the latest devhook?

i seem to have problems getting henc to work, it keeps freezing when i click on the pic, the memory stick light is solid orange and eventually it turns itself off. i have tried hard reset a zillion times. devhook wont load either (gives game loading error, obv because henc hasnt been loaded.)

It keeps freezing constantly now and i can't get back into devhook to run any iso's or do anything for that matter. it has worked a few times however - why is it now freezing?

cheers

umm get a pic on your psp, go to the picture, press triangle, scroll over to set as backround, click yes. Do this before you run HenC

get a picture and then make the backround the picture. It does not have to be "custom" but it cant be sony's squigly line background.

use henD less freezes and remeber to put a background pic so that when u boot hen,it has a higher chances of booting it.best is you wait till the folder box is properly viewed then click on it.
booting it in a rush will not work properly.

i have made a new easy installer in my thread, here
filename is "devhook chunglam's easy installer V2"
web link: http://www.mininova.org/tor/497605

inside this has
chunglam's devhook 1.65c3
26 gameboots to boot itself everytime you boot an iso or homebrew.
382 image icons so that you can see the game image everytime you choose one.
832 game covers, when you choose a game the game cover appears on the right.
HEND,1.5 and 2.71 firmware emulation already in.
2.71 having 2.82.prx,so that you can play tony hawks project 8 or game with 2.81 firmware required.
in 1.5,every month the background will change.
chunglam with wifi support.

curretly the 2.81.prx is not functioning with tony hawks project 8.so i was thinking of putting 3.01.prx in the folder and see if this will work with thp8.

keal varlo, okay how do i install Hen D when i already have Hen C? just rewrite the files and use the same devhook? I cant use your bittorent cuz my dad wont let me torent. Alrite cool, i no about the devhook to emulate 2.80+ but i dont no how to get it without your torent. Think you could take some time and help me with a manual instruction? I already have devhook for 2.71 and Hen C. I just need to install Hen D and get that devhook for 2.80. My first priority is getting Hen D working.

hey keal varlo, i got the DH 0.50. 2 quick questions.
1) do i just overwrite the DH and MS_ROOT files with the current devhook on my psp?
2) do u need HenD to run it or does HenC work?

nah we can't use 0.50 coz it is for 1.50 users.i too can't use it but nevermind that follow this:
download HEND here : http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=11444
then
installing HEN D
1.open "hend" with WinRAR (known as homebrew enabler Revision D)
2.plug psp to computer then on psp screen go to "USB connection"
3.open "MS_ROOT" and move all the files here to your "memorystick"
that means when u open ur memorystick drive from computer
(just drag it to that place),(if ask to overwrite, click yes)
4.go back, open devhook and move "dh" to your "memorystick" that
means when u open ur memorystick drive from computer(just drag it to that place),(if ask to overwrite, click yes).

thx a ton kealvarlo. I was correct i guess, just overwrite the files.
does the current devhook for henc (not chunglams) work with HenD, or does it not matter.

wondering if you could help me out. I downloaded NBA Live 07 through BT.

I got the one that is 782MB and says this...

NBA_Live_07_USA_PSP-pSyPSP[www.moviex.info]

ANyways I see the whole bunch of files and when I extract any of the files it says this...

CRC failed in "psy-nba|07.iso. file is broken"

Does anyone have this version. people posting at BTmonster says it works...but how did they extract it?

I am using 7Zip and I right click the r00 file and go extract here. It makes a new .ISO folder but fails at 7%, only creating a 117MB file, while I just downloaded 782MB worth of stuff.

Any help would be appreciated! thanks

When you get a ISO it should be in a folder (it might not be and that is okay). Open the folder. Then there should be a WinRAR item. Open the WinRAR until you see two files, UMD_DATA.bin and PSP_GAME. move these 2 files into your ISO folder on your memorystick.
