Not unless you have a 1.5 ta-081 model psp.
I have a TA -082 motherbord and want to play 2.81 ISO's. Any ideas how I can do this?

Hey guys got a problem here please help.
I've read through the forum several times and I've followed the steps installing HENC and Devhook on my TA-082.
Everything seems to be working fine so far.
I can emulate FW 1.5
The problem comes when I tried to play a iso that I downloaded recently -> Marvel superheroes.
The steps that I took were
1) book henc -> screen goes blue and then nothing
2) run devhook -> i used the setting that was outlined in the thread
-> the iso file was still in iso format ( i tried unzipping it to PSP folder/Umd file but devhook was unable to recognise the file. It only showed the UMD_DATA.BIM file when I tried to load the Iso.
3) the devhook was started. Anime page showed up. All the while there was no UMD in and the UMD was opened.
4) I popped in a random UMD and that's when the problem started -> I couldn't see the ISO image that I was expecting to see .
What's wrong ~~ please help me!
The only thing I could think of is that either the Marvel iso requires 2.81 fw or maybe i need to reinstall the henc and devhook again? I'm totally lost ~

i followed everything u said but when i run the iso, the game doesnt show up and the naruto wallpaper always turns up .... why is it? thanks

gazza11, I DO have Ultimate Alliance and it does work. When you run henc it should restart, does it on yours? Did you put the iso file in the folder ISO? In devhook, FW 2,71(non-flash),umd/sfo = 2.xx to 2.00, select iso, then start>>>>>>You did all this?

Hey Hackaday not sure if you use this but for everyone who don't this site is great www.gamestorrents.com it gives every psp iso/cso available in all languages.
Hope this helps someone out as i'm trying to repay the goodwill gestures i received from hackaday for my lads psp.

PS - hackaday a month of sundays is a term used in the UK for not being able to get something right and you are correct it IS and old persons use of language Ha! Ha!

not sure if this is the place to ask this...i downloaded a file(from gamestorrents.com)...however.. the files are in the form of 'a-tsims2.001, a-tsims2.002'..etc..
can anyone advise me on how i can get the game working?..thanks

okay , so ..
i've a jap psp,2.60 updated to 2.71,TA-082 , memory 1 giga
want to test all this
now ,1_did this alter the web browser in anyway..?
or other features i've yet in 2.71..?
2_if , later , i want to come back , formating the memory card will be enought and all will be as before , so i can use the official update..?
3what will be the free space on a 1 giga memory card after this ..?

Have you tired extracting these files using WinRAR?

No. Unless you boot into 1.50 (you chose what you boot into).

Turning it off and then on is all you need to do. The whole emulation is like running an application on a PC. Once you turn it off and back on - it's back to where you started. Of course - you can run the devhook all over again.

You can upgrade to any firmware post 2.71 if you desire. But once you do - there is no turning back. I'd suggest - follow the steps precisely and then if things don't work - try again. Becuase once you upgrade to newer firmware - you are done.

A lot. Enough to put just about any ISO.

Ok d00d... seriously.. have.. SOOO many issues.. but maybe it has to do with the "iso" i downloaded.
Ok, so here goes it..
I got the HenC and Devhook working.. fine.. yay w00t.. go ME
So last night i downlaoded Need For Speed Carbon.
In it where the main files, and 5 other files, the names of these are such
PARAM.SFO
ICON0.PNG
ICON1.PMF
PIC1.PNG
SND0.AT3
Now.. when i go into Devhook (after running the HenC stuff)
and select FW 2.71(non flash) and go to UMD select.. it give me those 5 files
I;ve chosen all five of them.. and each time it just brings up the red weird char. background with the d00d holding the PSP..
IF i put a UMD disc in... my psp just freezes :S( and its not a movie, its Need for Speed Underground Rivals)
Gah this is bugging me to no extent.. i've gotten like.. 4 hours sleep trying to do all this (plus being at school...which dosnt help)
oh btw.. i used some pbp thing.. or somehting.. and it created a file called.. EBOOT.pbp? i dunno..i tried that to.. but nothing special happends.. thanks !
PSP -> 2.60 TA-082 + 2.71 - 1.5 + 3.03 OE-A + OE-B + OE-C + 3.52 M33 - 3.40 OE-A + 3.52 M33-4 + 3.71 M33-4 + 4.01 M33-2 w/ 1.50 k = dropped 1ft and lost my PSP permanently

Devhook 0.51 is out with FW 3.01 emulation! Does anyone know if it'll work with TA-082 mobos?

It will not - untill somebody ports it to 2.71 (it only works on 1.50 right now)

because when the wallpaper shows up u insert a UMD then go over to where you select Umd and then play it. It is you ISO not the UMD in the drive. Cmon, read the previous posts i made on this thread.

It must be your ISO, all you should have to put into your ISO file are a PSP_GAME folder and a UMD_DATA.bin. Load the PSP_GAME folder in devhook. Then follow previous instructions.

i dont get your other questions but the devhook and Hen C and stuff takes about 38 MB and then 8 MB per homebrew you put on and then about 1.2MB per homebrew game, and 200-700MB per ISO game. About 100MB for each CSO.

Have you tired extracting these files using WinRAR?
these files cannot be extracted...
