I don't see why those switches are even needed now.
Still not final, in the morning I will go shopping for a smaller/cuter switch to match the system ;)
Did you only make 2 wires to the motor, leave the original wires in place?
Be careful with that. It killed my original eject functionality.
By doin that method, you sent the electricity not only to the drive motor, but also to the blue ray drive circuit board. In the long run it probably caused some fuse to burn at my ps3 and now i can obly eject discs with my switch..
Someone else on this topic had the same problem as me, thought he had original wires still connected too and he used 1 switch method..
I jumped in on this when this first came out and made myself a 3 switch mod with batteries, so I can turn off the mod when I don't need it. It still works when I manually load and unload the disk but it no longer works when I switch back to its original configuration. It just doesn't eat the disk or spit the disk back out automatically anymore. I think its because I flipped the switch back to original setting when PS3 was on and something got messed up.
Question.
1 What do you guys think is messed up? I wanna de-mod my PS3 but I can't do it unless I know what is wrong with it... so I can buy part from ebay and replace it...
2 Does it mean my sensor is working? when I try to insert my disk in the machine when it is off, it turns on automatically, but when i press eject and take the disc out, it still thinks the disc is still in there. I am just so effing lost.
im a newbie and would like to attempt, can somebody actually tell me what kind of switches to i actually need, and where would they available in the uk.
